Best I have seen this particular model at so far. It's got some beefy specs and a large Full HD screen with a 6GB 2060 in there for good luck. To get this price use code BLACK15 - It also works on the16GB RAM version for £1,274.14 Here

Full Specs below

Thanks to @J_N for posting the code!

What's the screen like on this? Tempted to return my HP Envy and get this instead
If you are with student. You get an extra 1% discount. So it turns into 16% this works with everything on the store
Can be combined with the Amex offer if you have it. £75 off a £400 spend.

You mean a RTX 2060 Ti Super OC? Jk but seriously Nvidia is just playing us over the long term with each incremental improvement in the RTX 20Xx and GTX 16Xx series.
Any comments on screen people, My HP Envy has a nice clear Gloss screen, is this the same? (Cannot tell from specs on site or images online)
just spoke with dell 60 hz apparently.

Only 100hz, man you need to wait for the 144hz version to come available. No point having anything less in this day and age.
That's quite a spec for the cash
This price is running like that for several days already. With this screen and knowing about the other deal with better screen that ended, this is a bad deal...
This seems expensive for a rtx 2060

I thought I was the only one bothered by it.
For this price you should be looking for 144 Hz screen, unless you're only going to use it hooked up to an external monitor in which case go 4 it.
with student discount I am tempted for this one still waiting to go down some quid more.

store.hp.com/UKS…NTB going at £1,349

difference between is 144 mhz plus 512 ssd and double RAM
Besides the negative reviews even on the DELL page.

Might as well just get a desktop then.
Always a but dubious about high spec graphics cards in a laptop. I've got a 2060 that's a triple slot 1 fan version and the heat sink is as thick as this whole laptop when closed.

But if the cooling works then I'd recommend the 2060 as an excellent card - performs between a 1070ti and 1080 on most titles. Potential to overtake/match the 1080 with dlss support in new titles as well.

Ram and SSD's are cheap and trending downwards, could always be an easy upgrade rather than holding off. Depends on the titles you'll be playing for the screen - it won't manage more than 100 FPS at 1080p with settings cranked up on many titles anyway.

I disagree. My opinion only obviously but as 144hz is nice for competitive fps games, other games will still look and run nice and smooth at 60fps, tbh you can still run multilayer fps and its just fine and there are people that just don't care about refresh rates.

This coming from someone that owns 144hz laptop and I do obviously see the difference and its nice but I wouldn't say there's no point in having less in this day and age. I still enjoy my xbox one x and that's mostly 30fps so go figure.

100hz isn't guaranteed either depending on the panel but should get close to it. This is still a solid deal.
Sorry to link another laptop but how would people rate this with the 16% off bringing it to roughly £845ish?

dell.com/en-…ons
Is this decent value? Looking for a reasonable laptop to play TW games, 2 point hospital and various other strategy/sim games.
Thanks in advance.
How is 8GB still normal for a laptop.. My Dell laptop is almost 7 years old and that came with 8gb and cost me £550 brand new when i purchased it

It's still normal for a laptop because that's all the vast majority of people need. I have 16Gb in my gaming PC at home and rarely ever go past 7Gb. Sure, for people that are doing heavy multitasking or have large, intensive workloads, they will need more than 8Gb. The vast majority of people looking to buy a laptop will not.

You may well have bought a laptop with 8Gb of RAM 7 years ago, but it will not be the of the same spec, and RAM is not the only component that makes up the price of a laptop.

Looks pretty decent to me. Haven't looked at laptops in a while but the 1660ti seems to be roughly on par with the 1070 which I haven't seen drop below £1000 in a laptop. Other specs seem good too and should handle the games you want

Don't see total war there but you'll get an idea
I've heard this has heat and throttling issue (as with every gaming laptop) . Can anyone tell me how bad it is?
Neither of the choices BLACK15 nor MUBLACKFRIDAY work anymore.
But you can use SAVE14 for 14% at the moment
