Ryzen 7 4800u intel is so 70s
Reasonable spec for the money, although the 128gb is a bit skimpy.

It’s a 128gd SSD boot drive plus a 1tb normal HDD.

So plenty of storage however I would argue that in 2020 there really shouldn’t be a mechanical drive in a top end laptop - in fact all of Dell’s new models are SSD only.
would appreciate thoughts on this one, seems a better spec but £100 more

Perhaps I should have expanded to say that it had 1tb hdd as well, but thought that was clear from the item description. I was only pointing out that the 128gb ssd is skimpy.

Looks worse to me on gpu - a lot worse and probably the cpu, there the same Core and thread count but a ulv version
This is a really well balanced spec machine for the money, considering it’s a 17 inch form too.
Cant seem to find whats the refresh rate for the screen.

Edit: Currys confirmed its 60Hz

128gb? Is this a flip phone?
Other than the small ssd this is a good price for what you get. I probably would have bought this if it had come up a week ago, but I just got a Triton 500 for £200 more.
Quite liking the look of this one - needs a RAM upgrade and an SSD in place of the HDD but both are easy enough to do!

About the only weak point is that the screen is "only" 60Hz!
