Serious? Half price, why??
The build quality of this laptop is very poor. Also the screen on these is probably one of the worst I have ever seen. The viewing angle is so poor, that unless you angle it just right and don't move your head an inch the whole time you're using it you will be very dissapointed.
It's excellent value for money at around £630. The screen does worry me though!

With this particular display the viewing angles are the least of it's issues, it's washed out, with poor colour replication (even by TN standards) and is not a nice display to game on, or watch movies on although its perfectly fine for anything with a white background like general web and office usage... which isn't what this machines about.I have read some posts where people have bought this machine and replaced the panel with a superior Asus panel they picked up on fleabay for around £45 which apparently is a vast improvement, unless this sounds like the way you would like to spend your weekend, I would advise avoiding this particular machine.

I'd go as far as to say even web browsing on this machine would be a dissapointment. The TN technology used in this display is a decade or more old. The latest TN G-SYNC panels fitted to the latest Alienware however are as good as if not better than IPS displays.
I posted this laptop for £748.99 from amazon about a week ago and it got around 250 heat. For £630 this is a very good deal - the screen is the only complaint people have, this could be remedied by swapping the screen for an IPS panel (I’ve heard it’s cheap easy to DIY) or by using an external monitor.

Point being this is £120 cheaper than a previously rated deal - it’s only the retailer that is causing a stir. I’ve never dealt with Very but if you trust them then this is a bargain.

A lot of people won't want to sign up for a credit account with very. If it was just £100 cashback or £630 it would be a good deal. Loads of recent deals for gaming laptops - that might be another reason this is voted down
Ordered this, if the screen is as bad as people say then I will look to replace, but reading about Dell have already started switching to IPS already in America, maybe these might have the same....
I don't see anywhere it says £100 cashback? Has it expired?
