Dell outlet are running a 15% offer on its refurbished laptops (use code DOHOME15)

Just bought a i5 8th Gen processor with SSD and HDD combo for a price of £335.58 which I believe is a great price for this spec.

Dell outlet updates the stock regularly so watch out for the decent 'refurbished' laptops which are like brand new. Also Dell gives 1 year warranty for additional peace of mind.

Nice machine for the ££, I’m currently sat here with a 5470 in work wishing it had an SSD instead of this crappy 500 gig normal drive...
It’s the only thing that makes it slooooos

Added the one I have is an i5-6300u , this i5-8250u performs 45% faster....
Add that SSD and it would fly! If the offer is still around come pay day, I may just bite

Good price. Stock is dropped into the outlet usually between 2:30 pm 3:00pm on weekdays
I guess the screen is the catch here?
I can't see this model available
Could someone post a link, please. Doesn't open for me
Any direct link? Or OOS?

Hot. Although it does say scratch and dent at the bottom which is a concern.
There does not seem to be any Dell i5 5570 there but would have given hot if it was.

It's been long time since I was in the outlet game. Not enough ££ in it now.

Quite possibly. I've got a nice Dell Inspiron, powerful with a good SSD, but the screen is unbelievably bad for what it cost. Comparing it to my partner's MacBook screen is embarrassing. Bad brightness and poor viewing angles.
Sorry, I am not much into computers.
Is it easy, and if so, how much would it cost to upgrade from 128GB SSD to say 256 or 512?

Thank you
None left at that sort of price shame because id get one
Nothing good showing on the site, will wait till the time OP stated to see but I haven't high hopes for this...
has anyone with one of these, or any Dell laptop had problems with wifi speed?

You and me both. It’s been a long long time since those days of real bargains. Although I notice one or two have made it their full time business.

All 8th generation processors are quad core from my knowledge, this one included.

Definitely is quad core. 8th gen have a significant performance advantage over previous generations. This is a no brainer. Should be very rapid laptop (unless you're a idiot or the laptop is broken).

I recently put Xubuntu on an older Compaq CQ58 because Windows 10 was too slow. I might just get this laptop though. I'd still be tempted to install Linux though. Once you can use Linux then you realise just how clunky Windows is. The main caveat with Linux is that the software experience is not as polished as Windows, but it performs so much better and using the terminal command line to install software is excellent and so easy.

Anyway that was my nice little story of the week about Linux, this laptop will run rapid with Windows 10 and there's no need to change it unless you want to get your privacy under control.
Great deal!
