I bought a higher spec (Dual-core) version of this from the Dell Outlet for £275 but was very unimpressed so sold it on. It has a horrible touchpad and I found the screen resolution didn't suit my older eyes; I don't want to use specs on a laptop.
Probably the worst expereince I've ever had with a portable computer.

You said it - Setting a friend's 10" Netbook up a couple of months ago was HELL... as daft as it sounds, I get a bad neck with glasses on working at a computer screen - all that head tilting and squinting! :-(

sorry guys, don't want to be a butt head, but whether or not you like small format computers is not relevant to whether this is a good deal.

It is a good deal for this laptop new.

The comment on the touch pad has been made before in a review I read, so it is a relevant observation for this thread.
On the other hand, one of the reasons I love the occasional design mistake is that it means there's a model for a discounting

I bought three of these from the outlet and I think it is great. I Always use a mouse rather than a touchpad. The screen is fine for my 49 yr old eyes.

Some have the 3 cell battery which is very compact. The 6 cell is very bulky, so if you want a compact machine I'd advise against the 6 cell battery.

Neither of us suggested that it should affect the hotness of the deal. I was just passing on my experience in case it’s of use to anyone else. I’m okay with 10” Netbooks and 13.3” laptops but found this format too small. YMMV.

I think you need your hair trigger greasing, it goes off a bit too easy!
No-one was criticising the deal at all, in fact I would be much more likely to buy an 11.6" format a it is so much more readable than a 10" Netbook!
