Im after a decent laptop mainly for browsing the web etc. Just want a fastish laptop for that use. I have a budget of around 450, any recommendations would be appreciated.

1. great deal for a new budget laptop (assuming you don't mind Dell). £230 -7% Quidco.

2. for a budget of £450, try hotukdeals.com/dea…874
£400 for a very well specced laptop inc 3 year warranty (NB. not good for modern 3D games.).

3. Add to title "@Dell"

Saveonlaptops any good?

Saveonlaptops any good...

To be honest I haven't used them, reviews seem mostly ok but don't see why there should be a problem. e.g. 3 year warranty is with Samsung.

Good price, shame the laptop resembles a doorstop ... I love dell machines but this is REALLY fugly.
hot if you don't care what your machine looks like tho, if it had been the n5010 then that would of been another matter !

Wait a minute we have the HUKD Police on patrol! Bet you use to remind the teacher to give the class homework! chill out

Bought a couple of laptops from them; came in good time and very well packaged. Haven't had any issues so never dealt with CS.

just bought a toshiba laptop from saveonlaptops. first class. thoroughly recommend them

Whats the cpu ?

The CPU is some sort of dark magic that makes computers do stuff.

Inspiron N5030 (FCG10UK) - T4500 (2.30 GHz, 1MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB)

Not a dismal CPU by any means. Great value for the money IMHO (£214 after Quidco).

This is not a fricking chat room, once you have finished your lovers tiff get back on track to the deal in hand ffs.

The site crashes on my computer everytime I try and buy. Does it have HDMI?

Good price n all but it looks ugly as sin does it not.

Fantastic laptop for the price, enough said.

Is it just me but the page does not load to continue (Dell's Website?)

B

So how do you get quidco on this? I can't work out how to build it for the price shown and the site crashes when I click through here.

Its a laptop for Gods sake, get a life. Its not a fashion statement.

Looks like a good amount of PC for very little money, Win 7 64 bit is a nice touch. A much better choice for most than a similarly priced netbook unless you really need the portability.

Haha it does seem that the pompous level is rising on HUKD!

how can one get quidco discount when going through the link above, because when you go to dell website through quidco website, the cheapest is £279 not £253. tia

I had the same problem with site freezing, I tried going through DMXDimensions at dmxdimension.com/del…ns/

and selected the £254 option and this seems to work

cut and paste the voucher code and it went through fine.

Re: Quidco - I cant confirm that it works but what i did was added to my basket, applied the voucher then clicked on continue shopping. Then opened up a separate tab went into quidco selected dell home and clicked through to the site then just opened up my basket and continued the process.

Take care

This is an error isn't it because with one GB more ram it's £349

If summat's ugly am gonna call it ugly, whats there to get a life about over that.

No need to argue now it's £329...bargain over

10 minutes after I managed to bag one they now seem to of pulled the deal (raised the price up to £329)

Hey, this still looks to be working OK for me and a good deal.

J

Still working I think.
Without Quidco go via dmxdimension.com/rec…330
With Quidco, go to Dell via Quidco and serach for code N00N5330

B

Still worked for me, shouldn't be expired - have ordered, hopefully cashback will track and I've got myself a reasonably spec'd machine for the cost of a netbook....

unexpire requested

deal is still on, i managed to order one by clicking an advert link from gumtree website :D:D
