Any good?
Seems like a good price, but is it a good deal?

decent basic laptop . been owning this type for about 4 months now . good for learning about windows 8 . non touch-screen . HDMI is only display output if you want to connect 2nd screen . check all specs and connectivity to avoid surprises . I think is USB 2 ports only , no USB 3 ( high speed ) . display is OK but not full HD .
But still a lot of computer for the money. does all my internet browsing , etc.

send the proper link

Well I clicked on the link and typed 3000 and strangely got this...

Def a good price but I think the Inspiron 15 3000-Series (Intel®) £379.00 4th Generation Intel® Core™ i5 Processor, 8GB Memory, 1TB Hard Drive Windows 8.1, is an even better deal

has this a built in webcam?

Says no code but it's £269 on the website or am I missing something?

Had this one since summer for the same price, great thing for the money.

No problem the other link worked. Dam just ordered one two days ago at £278 but the only difference I think is the processor which is an i3. If I contact dell will they easily change my order?

I bought this laptop a while back and i hate windows 8 and its tiles, is there a simple guide anywhere that explains the basics. Also what pre loaded rubbish should i remove from this laptop ive not used it at all yet since buying.

If you aren't a fan of Windows 8 tile system download a free piece of software called classic shell. It will bring back the old school start menu and give you the option to disable features you don't want on.

Also cracking price for a basic machine, seems perfect for web browsing and word processing

With a Celery processor and only 4Gb RAM, I wouldn't want to try. The OS and all the other junk installed and running will burden the CPU and memory too, so I doubt you'd find it a fun experience editing video.

Ok thanks for your help.

it'd be cheaper to build your own rig.

thanks

Cheaper than £169?
How exactly do you 'build your own' laptop rig?

Blistering price!
With the VIP code, it should be £152.10!

Edit:dell.com/lea…age for anyone having trouble with the link

I've had this laptop for about 4 months now and I love it, perfect for anything from working on documents to watching HD video on the web, even low end gaming is pretty smooth.

Be mindful that they can sometimes take a while to send the codes - especially when they have low prices already

It is a good deal (and maybe you should post it) but it can't be compared to a laptop which is less than half the price.
This is a deal for people with smaller wallets who just need a Windows laptop for light duties.

Great price but a very slow processor by modern standards- not much better than a netbook. N2830 2.16GHz

cant be a serious question. Love to know what new laptops / computers dont come with a warranty

I brought this kit for my mom to browse/youtube/look over the weather etc.
It works a treat for all that sort of stuff!

Very nice build with decent parts.
I would buy from them again - and that is coming from a PC Geek!

Got this the last time it was on offer - great laptop for basic browsing & office stuff. I quite like Windows 8.1 as I only really use this for media and surfing

Thanks buddy, I signed up and received 2 introductory discount codes.

However, I entered them and it says:-
"The following coupons have been entered but require additional information or do not meet eligibility requirements. Click "View Details" link(s) for more information."

When I click the "View Details link" it's a blank page.

Disappointing that it has no Ethernet port, but good price overall

I couldn't agree more with you on that one.
Nice cheap deal for something much better than a netbook at similar prices. Then I saw the posting about the ACER wow even better spec than this Del I guess there must be a lot of stock clearances going on this month.

I signed up to the VIP and got the code - didn't work when entering the code at the final stage of the basket, so used the online chat and had the operator create the basket and email it to me - after entering the VIP code it came to £152.10! Thanks!!
