1366x768 resolutions should be banned now for laptops.

I wouldn't even accept that on a mobile anymore.

Why do new laptops have disc drives at all?

Why do new laptops have disc drives at all?

Because some people like to own things rather than rent them from Apple and Co.

Good price barring the colour
I wouldn't buy this colour it's a turn off for me

aside from the 8GB ram (which you could add as an extra stick of RAM to any laptop), this is about the right price for this spec. decent enough deal but not amazingly great IMO

Laptops have been hit hard by exchange prices... nothing like this that I could see for at least £30 more and most with older processors
Awful display

Pardon my ignorance, but why do PC World sell these on eBay rather than their own website? Limited stock, refurb, or ???
Next time I am going to buy Dell, kick me

Goooood question!, I've always wondered similar myself?.

Speaking of which, same could be said with Argos + Argos eBay too, etc etc etc ...

Go figure?, lol.

I think eBay has more traffic thus faster cash flow especially for slower moving stock. I suspect their fees are less than the average trade seller too.

Nobody uses media anymore. Have you not heard of streaming? ;-)

Go onto Dell outlet and you can get this for £291 incl delivery. Plus use Quidco for cash back. I bought one last week, it is a scratch or dent model. It is in perfect condition. Not a mark on it.

Thanks OP, might be a good choice for me - looks a fair price + I like the DVD fitted (novices like me are the ones who've never streamed!).

Do you (or any computer boffins here) know if a Samsung SSD (840 Pro) can be fitted in this, alongside the HDD?

If yes, will it need any extra parts like cages or connecting wires to fit it, and will it be easy for a novice to do and set up for use?

Much appreciated.

It should be a straight swap I think. Though I have never done it with this laptop myself
How similar in performance would this laptop run compared to something like this one:
ebay.co.uk/itm…818

I actually want a light / small laptop just for browsing and streaming videos. On the side of my desk while I game on PC. I'd like to look things up on it

For £100 less, if that would do the job I would go for that one lol
Not really sure what I am after or how much it should cost but I didn't wanna pay much more than £200. I refuse to have anything with less than 4gb ram though so that is where the problem comes when looking at smaller laptops.

pretty much any £100 laptop would be ok for browsing and streaming but a better option is get a 2nd monitor and use that for browsing and streaming its what i do

once you've had two monitors you never go back to one

Hmm, I must stress I hate slow computers lol. I had a laptop before and it drove me crazy so £100 one frightens me a bit lol. Maybe I do have to pay more?

Also, really don't like 2 monitor setup, it's too awkward when switching between 1 and 2 I found?
I get your point though. I'd love a 3 monitor setup but my main is a 27" 2k screen so that would be too much if I tried to get more.

Hmm.
I'd also like to be able to move upstairs too so laptop would be more ideal. I just don't wanna spend more than I need to but also not too little lol. I spent about £200 before and it was ok. Not super slow but not something I could put up with. Perhaps I have gotten too used to SSD drives as anytime I am on a PC without one now I just curse!
