No graphics card for almost £600

You don't buy a 2 in 1 if your focus is gaming.

Or you get a £600 machine with GTX1050 but 128GB SSD, 8GB of RAM and no touch screen.
You do know there are always compromises to meet a price point.

You cannot say this is terrible battery life. This is an ignorant …You cannot say this is terrible battery life. This is an ignorant statement. This is normal battery life of 2-3 hours for 40W/Hr.40W/Hr is normal with 2-3 hoursuse because of 10-25W i7 CPU (15W TDP) and 1080p resolution with 15" screen area. (40W draining at 15W gets you 2-3 hours.)A 2 in 1 Touch Screen with 40W/Hr 3 cell is heavy enough, an 80W/Hr battery would made it very heavy to use it as a detachable 2 in 1, especially if you lump the 80W/Hr in the screen part when it is detached.

It is terrible battery life in the context of all laptops though. Moreover, nobody on the thread had mentioned the battery life before sazal so contrary to being an ignorant statement, it was actually a very useful highlight of a potential drawback of this machine that less experienced users may not have noticed.

Stop trying to discredit another user's valid criticism.

A graphic card would utterly destroy any use of computing on this class of machines.

Battery life is at least 3 years, what more do you want.
Are you able to use a stylus with the touch screen and work in Photoshop with any semblance of accuracy or ease?

I'm guessing if dell aren't offering a stylus then I'd say your tied into using any capacitive stylus.

If you're after high accuracy, I wouldn't hold your breath.

Look into buying a Wacom tablet to pair this with and you'll get the high accuracy your after.

I struggle to use tablets, I can't focus on the screen and use the pen accurately at the same time. I was looking at the Surface tablets but they're twice this price when you add a keyboard and pen. Happy to compromise a bit for a cheaper price, but not if it's not at least somewhat functional.

Useful to have though. You don't need to be a gamer to benefit from a dedicated GPU with CUDA cores and other bells and whistles to help with video editing.

The hardware looks good for the money, battery life is lacking for a portable though.
Does that price include VAT? Last time I bought from the Dell outlet the prices were all ex-VAT so need to add on a whack more.
The link doesn’t work. I can’t find the laptop. Please help

That probably means they've sold it. The Dell outlet normally just has 1 or 2 of each model at a time as stock comes back in for refurb. You may fine another comes back in overnight or just later today.

Keep trying, or browse the other stock,

It would be terrible if you misled buyers here into thinking your recommended PC has an average battery life of 10 hours. It is an i7 quad core CPU running at TDP Down: 10 W Up: 25 W Typical TDP: 15 W .

Can you point us some reviewers' test results to backup your statement of "an average battery life of 10 hours? I know that 10hrs is stated on the Amazon UK web site, but few would be so ignorant as to use this figure and rely it without some verification.

If battery life is your goal, I think it is foolish to spend £900 on a longer battery life, according to the reviewer for this review laptopmag.com/rev…ge)

In my opinion, 7hr is very good, but £900 for a bigger battery as an aim, no thanks.

My whole point was that you should be less combative and quick to call others ignorant.

The link was merely a demonstration of laptops with similar specifications but a better battery life; ensuring that people know it is possible, since your comment implied it may not be.

The lack of research regarding the battery life of the laptop I linked was due both to the fact that it was obviously far better than the battery of the laptop in the OP (even if 10hrs is generous) and because I was short on time.

Thanks for filling in that blank for me -- potential buyers should always read trustworthy reviews before making a purchase as large as this. While I was not endorsing the HP laptop, I'm glad anyone interested now has one suggestion of a review to help keep them informed.

You whole point is to take offence on behalf of someone who gave me a like for my comment.

I wrote, "This is an ignorant statement." I did not not call others ignorant. You are a liar because you said, "My whole point was that you should be less combative and quick to call others ignorant."

I did not use the first person. As an analogy: "This is a long statement." This does not mean that I said the person is long.

A dictionary definition of this "ignorant" as an adjective for the noun "statement" is: lacking knowledge. The statement was ignorant because it lacked knowledge (W/Hr and duration).

I dislike your malice intensively and moreover, I dislike your allegation that I was combative, your statement is better used to describe yourself in having a go at me unfairly in the first place, especially the tone of you referencing that £900 laptop.
