Personally if you're spending this sort of money I'd either be looking for a better graphics card for better performance there or one without the graphics card for better battery life. It's in a strange middleground that's a little 'pointless' in my book.

What's best for you depends what you are planning to do with it?

Thanks for adding specs.

Yeah I see what you are saying. I want a laptop for general use as well as photo editing and some video editing, watching lots of videos etc. I will not be doing any gaming. I know the specs of this is above what I need but I really want a laptop with a very nice screen and an SSD, I'm finding it hard to find something to fit this. I'm not tech savvy and do not want the hassle of adding my own SSD to a cheaper laptop.

Is battery life important?

Description says keyboard with num pad, but the photos on the Dell website show no number keys? Anyone know, because this is a deal breaker.

No not really, screen needs to be no smaller than 15" though.

I've had an inspiron for 6 years straight now going on to its 7th year. It was one of the last AMD ones that they made, with an A8 APU. it's still going strong and runs fast with the quad core boost to 2.6GHz. only things that ever needed replacing were the keyboard and the battery. Would buy again.
