Quadcore I7, GTX1060, screen (with speakers), keyboard, mouse, 16 GB DDR4 2400 RAM, NVMe M.2 SSD for half price?

The graphics card alone will set you back £270.

I'd like to see you do it on PC part picker, (even ignoring the fact that the biggest sale point of a laptop is portability).

GAMING300 should also still work for non students to take £300 off the price.
Not as good as being able to remove the headset and take the £430 off the total price though
It’s a good deal, but can’t vote hot because of the glitch which made it £669 last week.

The thread was deleted for some reason, instead of expired but, you could use the £300 off code and you were able to remove the headset and the glitch was, it counted the headset as £430 instead of £0, so took the £430 off when you removed the headset, making the laptop £669 . They fixed the issue a little while later, which is when the thread was deleted. Most people got their orders but, some were cancelled. Myself and my partner were lucky though and managed to buy one each :D. Its a fab bit of kit!

that would mean it would have been 955 at full price - maybe it was a different config? be that as it may, we can't travel back in time, so if someone's looking right now, this is great value for money imo...

I'm so glad I spotted it early enough and bagged one.
Going to install a 2TB SSHD in it today
Will also be installing a clean version of Windows as the OS stutters occasionally in its out of the box state.

While incredibly powerful especially for the form factor I'm disappointed to find that they can't deliver anywhere near full GPU performance while on battery power.
Battery capacity/technological limitations and safety concerns are the reason.

Saying that it would eat through the battery in around 1hr anyway so theres not really a use case for it.

let me know how you get on with your hdd replacement, I swapped mine for a 2.5" SSD earlier and it wouldn't pick up the SSD on disk manager or in bios - the SSD works in my old PC.

Now that is bizarre.

I've had a hard drive I previously used with Windows Storage Spaces not show up at all in disk management but it would show up in BIOS.

I'll stick a spare SSD in mine before the SSHD and see if it's detected.

Well said mate. Its the same thing people bring up about how terrible the nintendo switch is when they are comparing the graphics to the xbox one and PS4. Its all about the portability aspect of it. Trying playing your desktop on the go!

I challenge you to show us where you can buy an equally powered desktop that includes all of the I/O, keyboard, mouse, screen and Windows 10 for the same price.

You can't. Not to mention the time you would waste doing so, time is money, it's not worth the effort.
Ok, so the deal is for a laptop that is overpriced and gives £300 discount using a voucher code. Well its COLD
Sorry, can't vote hot, got this for £549 less TCB so worked out a few quid over £500 on BF.

Your getting a laptop and vr headset with controlls, therefore if you don't want the vr headset then sell it and your total price for the laptop would be cheaper.
I can't seem to get the GAMING300 code to work??

Dell are screwing up lately, got this beast of a laptop for £549 from them. It's great that they are honouring customers orders. Will shop with them again(hoping for another glitch).
Got mine for £669 last time. Solid bit of kit. Gets 70fps average playing Dying Light maxed out at 1080p.

Right I've just finished.

Crucial MX100 500GB SSD did not work. Not showing up at all just like what you experienced.

Samsung 640GB HDD working perfectly.

Seagate 2TB SSHD working perfectly.

The only thing I can see is that the SSD requires 5V 1.7A whereas the Hard Drives only need 5V 1A.
A dumb question but can the student beans offer be used alongside the gaming300 code? I can dream can't I?

Good thinking, I checked all my other SSDs and found a sumsung evo with .86A, swapped the HDD for that SSD and it shows up. Too bad it half the size of the crucial one I wanted to use.

Thanks for your help.

I can't seem to get the GAMING300 code to work??

I think the gaming300 code has been patched up as the T&c's state it cannot be used with any other offers.
Still worked for me. Bit the bullet on this one. Always miss the mis prices and really cant be bothered looking anymore. Like the specs and the head set.

Can you provide a link for the laptop where the gaming300 discount worked?

Add the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 (7577) Gaming Laptop mixed reality headset bundle £1,849.00 to £1,399.01

In the basket section put gaming300 in the add coupon box taking another £300 off.

Quidco tracked at £30.48 as well. It might not pay out though due to the other savings.

I tried buying at the £669 price and they canceled my order. So just tried applying the gaming300 and student beans code, again they canceled both the orders. Emailed in to complain and they emailed back saying that they would not honour the deals as I am trying to exploit their systems, not happy and completey give up on Dell.
