Cheapest price I have seen for this laptop at under £1k and for the spec it seems a decent price. Also you get a 2 year warranty with John Lewis.

Specs are:

Intel Core i7, 16GB RAM, 1TB HDD + 256GB SSD, NVIDIA GTX 1050Ti

Feel free to add anything I have missed mods

Morons at Dell put an appalling TN screen in an otherwise nice gaming laptop.

Not just Dell. Screen quality seems to be blighting many of the latest crop of 'budget', 1050 gaming laptops.
My two year old Asus N551, that I paid a measly £560 for, has a beautifully bright 1080p matte screen. Much as I might want a better GPU, I'm not shelling out serious cash to get a screen that's inferior to what I have now.

What a waste

Rather have a low res screen than high at the moment. A lot of poorly developed games/programs have terrible scaling issues.

heat, good price

Ludicrous talk.
You know you can run games at a lower resolution right?

The display is the only let down, good specs for the price

And will you personally come re-write windowed games like Runescape to run optimally on a hi-dpi screen?
