Not a bad deal tbh wack some more ram in there and it'll do a decent job on a budget
Anyone bought from these people before, are they any good?

Also how hard would it be to add 4gb of RAM as a none techy person?

Thanks in anticipation

The OP's Deal Title states:

"128Gb NVMe SSD".

So it's a simple case of swapping one, for the NVMe, for the SSD of your preference, etc ...

I'm pretty sure the preexisting HDD could probably be swapped out too mind?.

Though doing so would 'technically' end up giving you something along the lines of 2 SSD's in there, as opposed to the current existing 1 SSD (theoretically) + 1 HDD (literally).

But it's up to you?. :-)

These 2 might help you along the path towards such though:

Personally speaking, I think that the specs on that Lenovo laptop are actually better, to be honest with you?, lol.

Fine, you'll NOT get the option to have BOTH an SSD + HDD singing sweeeeeeeeet song's within the very same 1 laptop, or whatever?, lol.

You would however get a far more superior CPU though + double the RAM too (amongst other thing's ... )

So it's up to you?. :-)

Thanks for the information. I guess I should not be so lazy and Google the manual myself next time.
Ordered. Thank you everyone for educating me. Hoping to have a silent everyday laptop for browsing and torrents. Hopefully I can set it up with the original SSD and add my own 480GB SSD for file storage. Really like everything about it except the fact that it's more power consuming than others in that category.

Exactly. Usually in a laptop nowadays you get one SATA hard drive sized slot, and one M.2 tiny slot. In your case both are full: the SATA slot with a 500Gb HD, and the M.2 with a 128Gb SSD which the operating system will be on. Adding the OP's SSD drive in the SATA drive just swaps out memory and won't make the system any faster.
Another thing to know is that generally SSDs in the M.2 slot are even faster than SSDs over SATA due to bandwidth limitations of SATA.

So really a 480Gb SSD SATA drive isn't much use for this machine!
Purchased from MCSCOM several times and never had any issues at all. Products have always been as new, if there are any imperfections they usually mention that on the advert.
Can anyone confirm that the Dell or Lenovo either have IPS screens?

They won't get that... Too complex an enquiry.
Intel are dead to me. Vile, anti-competitive, exploitative. Been fleecing customers for nearly a decade due to lack of competition.

They have competition now. In fact their products have been blown out of the water.

I've bought a few laptops, tablets and accessories over the years from MCS. Very good company with the products exactly as described and refurbed to a high standard.

The only time I had an issue was a tablet stylus that broke after a few weeks and they immediately sent me a replacement for free.

I can echo this, I've had a few XPS 13's from them and they were immaculate. Great company to deal with as well, suburb comms and fast delivery.

Thanks for information. How would you suggest I go about swapping hard drives for best result? I would prefer to leave the original SSD and add my own 480GB SSD, but I can put the 480GB in M.2 slot if thats any better. I would have no problem to install windows on it myself.
Wish it had an ISO keyboard rather than ANSI, I'd be all over this.

You will notice the two types of slot are incompatible. Have a Google.

Yes you can. Exchange the SATA 500Gb HD with your SATA 500Gb SSD. But it won't speed up your system significantly as it's already running on the probably faster 128Gb one in the faster M.2 slot.

Ok. Was reading up on it and watching YouTube tutorials just now. That is absolutely fine if I can connect my 480GB to the SATA slot. Haven't done much with computers in the past 10 years, so all these new ports and types of storage is new to me. I think I finally understand all the connections and advantages. Thanks for your help.
Thank you for posting. We have added this to the Highlights section.

I am in no position to tell you what could be suitable for you. I am a giant tech need but that means nothing to someone with different priorities.

I personally enjoy browsing and using my computer at a solid 165hz. Anything else is useless to me. Some would even enjoy a 30hz experience.

Do whatever that pleases you but don't buy this junk.
