Add a 9 cell battery for £0

Nice laptop, the 9 cell battery is well worth adding, Got a Dell last year with the 9 cell, (from a MikeT posting), the lifespan is superb, long outlives the 6 cells.

any vouchers to go with this

is the daul core t4400 better than a core2duo 6600

my friend has an xps with a 9 cell and that use to last her all day whilst she was at school

Yeh just seeing if this is better than the Asus UL30A but I don't think it is for what I want.... The lighter/better portability seems better with the 9 cell battery too.

Not much in it according to passmark - less than 1% in it

Stonking deal if you don't want to be lumbered with the GMA 4500. Infact, this has thrown a spanner in the works as I was looking to get the acer ferrari one or asus eee 1201N....

This light enough to use whilst sitting on the crapper?

can someone point me in the direction of benchmarks for current mobile cpu's - e..g comparing this to the i3/i5/i7 etc...??

cheers,
dan

This is a good deal for the spec but oh brother, what a butt ugly laptop !

Dell have returned to the shiny black plastic look for the keyboard surround. Open up the smart exterior and you are faced with cheap looking shiny black plastic. In five minutes it was so covered in prints and hand smudges it looked about a year old.

If things like this bother you then beware. Mine went straight back.

I couldn’t agree more. I bought one for a friend from the Outlet and was so appalled I expected her to say she didn’t want it and was surprised when she wanted to keep it.
The custom colours are nice but they only colour the lid so when you open it up you are still faced with the ugly black plastic.
I’m not normally so fussy but these are horrible and whilst setting it up for my friend I was disappointed how easily the fan kicked in and it was fairly loud.
I’d avoid these at any cost and rather get a Dell from the Outlet or eBay.
