Posting this one to show what you can get for a bit more than the very basic model posted earlier . I feel potential buyers will soon discover the cheap models limitations and wish they had spent a bit extra on this better spec and newer model . Bang for buck at entry level this one takes some beating.
Intel I3 (4th Generation ) 4030U- 3 M Cache ,1.9 Ghz
4Gb RAM
500 Gb 5400 rpm SATA Hard Drive
DVD rewriter
Bluetooth
1x USB3 , 2x USB 1 , HDMI Port
15.6" Non Touch Screen
17" model (17 5000 series) - same spec is available for
£305.98)
Not saying this is a great computer (you don't get a great laptop for £280 ! ) , but for those who can stretch to the extra, will be a better buy and will last much longer .
Not got one myself - but look on this model as a benchmark for what you should pay for a well specced Intel I3 Brand New Laptop .

Looks like it does from the picture (zoom the LH side photo) theres an Ethernet port there ,but I'd check with customer support as its not mentioned in the specs that I can see .

Thanks, would this one be better/worse/similar, any advice would be appreciated.

Toshiba C50-B-131

Would also come with 2yr warranty as standard and a 90 day no quibble return policy.

Hi I'm no expert but I would go for the Dell as it has the much faster I3 processor . The 1TB Hard disc is not so important as you're very unlikely to use that much . Comes with a 1 year warranty and you can buy the 2 year for £30.

How can you say this? You have no idea what this person wishes to use it for, therefore this is a throwaway comment.

Hopefully you will know more about computers that you do about unlocking phones

If you need that much storage ? Umm - wouldn't you use an external Hard Drive ? you wouldn't need that much internally -would you ?

Cheers, you are right, the HD will not be an issue for me, just day to day stuff (no gaming/video editing etc) but would be likely to require an Ethernet port rather than use an adapter.

Thanks

If you're looking for a Dell computer remember the 7.5 % off codes ends Wednesday midnight .

It would be so much clearer if they did use not valid after....If I said … It would be so much clearer if they did use not valid after....If I said I will be at the snooker club until 3 then I would leave at 3 though. So until 23rd could mean deal expires when it hits 23rd. It is very confusing and there is no need for it.

I love the passion for clarity. I absolutely agree with you.

Now £299 as the discount code has expired... perhaps this should be made clear in the OP?

On second thoughts the offer itself should really be expired, now that the laptop is no longer available for the price quoted.
