Bulldog have you got a link for the £323-10 one please?

I can only see one at £379 before discount.
Anyone knows id this has USB 3.0? Why don't they mention it in the specs? That's suspicious.
Good buy
Which one should I go for? New Inspirion 15 or Inspirion 15R? The differences I can see for the same price (£399) are that 15R is the 3rd generation i3 but only 500GB HDD and 4GB RAM and is heavier (New Inspirion 15 - 2nd generation i3 but 750GB HDD and 6 GB RAM).
I think i am going to go with the clearance core i5 £409.00 down to £359.92 with this code Additional 12% off all Clearance Laptops and Desktops 5$V92WH$0L1F99

Thanks Bulldog, great find, heat added.
5% Quidco too which should work with voucher.
This thing will not last long. Buy a lower spec but better quality.
Would this run the new football manager or will I still have issues due to on board graphics card?
Won't last long? Clueless.
I have one of these N5050 models - new i3/500GB/4GB £199 clearance price from Sainsburys last month.

Even fior that price, I consider it to have appalling build quality. Of all the Dells I've had, this range is the worst - apart from only USB 2.0 and a poxy 0.3MP Webcam it has quite the worst keyboard I have ever come across - saggy in the middle and awful key movement. This is one bad model - steer clear!

Should we guess you have had issues with Dell? I have been buying and recommending Dell for years with no issues.
How about these ones?
dell.com/uk/…/pd?refid=inspiron-15r-se-7520&baynote_bnrank=0&baynote_irrank=1&~ck=dellSearch&isredir=true

Although im a little confused it says there are SSD and 1080p screen options but i can't find them

No, I've got a Dell XPS 14z myself, no issues so far.

But this is cheap rubbish from dell, avoid it. Will barely last a year or so. Dell don't build them like they used to.

Its not a gaming laptop mate, HD graphics are great for power reduction and battery life, they do everything necessary and do it well
'15.6in High Defintion (1366X768)WLED'...

Really? Still? Appropriate resolution for a smartphone perhaps...

I am so fed up with the plethora of cheap crap screens thrown into otherwise half decent laptops. Why do people still buy these?

stupid comment
its plenty res for most, phones still come in 320*240 res etc so there are entry and premium levels just the same as this
windows 8. oO
Absolute tosh from "rash", My parents each own the Inspiron series, and both laptops have been going strong for over a year. Just because you don't like the build quality doesn't mean its poor for other people's needs. Nonsense.

ofc though its a valid point to make about the build quality
keyboard and screen are the 2 parts i use the most (like most i assume), all the specs in the world aren't going to save a cheap laptop with a crap keyboard for me
some dont realise the difference though so wont matter to them

Yep, a nonsense quote from you !

What you fail to understand is the plethora of different Inspiron models Dell churn out. There are probably a dozen different laptop models under the Inspiron name in the last year ALONE !!!! And I own no less than six of them purchased over the last 18 months. The N5010 models are fairly robust and have been reasonable for the £300 price point. The next ones were the N5110 - also fairly reasonable. BUT the later bottom of the range N5050 and now current 3520 models are shocking in build quality and have much lower specifications - only USB 2.0, no ESATA and 0.3MP Webcams.

Yes Dell do still make good Inspiron laptops - the 15R and the 15SE BUT you have to know which model you are buying and Dell quite purposely make it very difficult to understand the wide variation in quality in their Inspiron laptop range.

What you fail to understand is rash quoted this laptop "Will barely last a year". So you agree with him them? It's nonsense. Dell may well churn out products, but they don't make a habit of selling products that give up within twelve months.

Yes, anyone paying £300+ on any Dell N5050 or 3520 laptop is going to be disappointed sooner or later - take it from me as someone who has used recent Dell laptops - these latest budget models are quite the worst I have ever seen. Either spend a little more (or in the case of Dell Outlet even less) on at least the 15R or go elsewhere!
Hmm, I don't disregard your word. I just think for the people that would probably get this laptop (using for a some browsing and email etc) I can't imagine that kind of thing becomes an issue.

I've had an XPS15 since July anyway.

XPS is a different breed. XPS range is very good. But these dell ones with the gloss are crap.

No point arguing about your experience vs others, it doesn't benefit anyone. Every company at one point or another has made rubbish products.

Clearly from the posters who have experience of THIS specific model have declared this to be a crappy Dell. Lets leave it at that and move on.
Yup. That's why I didn't bring the XPS up. It's a different level.

Fair play.
