This ecode is not available with XP as the OS.

This is better than last week when I was asking about the 2gig system. This now for the same price comes with a case and kensington mouse, well done for finding this mike, i'm so tempted.

Can someone tell me what this laptop won't be able to do, i.e. any drawbacks of this laptop?

Thanks in advance guys.

As you prob realise I am up to my neck in ecodes this morning ;-) but I think this has no firewire port and no option for Truelife screen, apart from that its all good. Check my blog sidebar for links to cpu performance etc to see how the amd stacks up against Intel laptops.
You really need to upgrade the battery on these as its very small.

Thanks Mike, firewire is for home video cameras (I think) so I don't mind it not being an option on this.

But the truelife screen means I will have to go into pc world - to look at xga and truelife to compare the two before I decide what I'm going to do.

Though on paper at least this is a cracking deal.

This deal is still imo the best bang for buck spec in the 1501 series dells and is available this week too.
