Is this a good deal or not? I am thinking about buying it.

Wrong day to post a Curry's/PC world deal, my friend.

Would like the 17inch at this price!

Hot, If you can't sell the headsets give em away
On a serious note this is better than the Amazon deal as the Hp is

Although this is a gaming laptop don't expect to do much VR gaming on a 1050.

Headset is worth 300 so you're getting it for free since you can get this laptop from Dell for 800ish. Hot!

is 1050 enough for VR? I thought that 1060 is minimum.

Dell with a vr headset, 1050ti 4gb and 16GB of RAM for 885 on Amazon is a much better deal, isn't it?

There's a dell with vr headset and 1050ti 4gb for 885 on Amazon

Was looking at that too but they won't deliver it to Northern Ireland so that rules that out for me. Cheers

Gtx 1050ti is the least powerful card that meets VR requirements. Doesn't mean GTX 1050 can't run them, it just can't run them well

The 1050ti only meets minimum spec due to Rifts ASW, the Vive is a 1060 minimum. Your not going to use a WMR headset for gaming anyway as they are too loose fitting so a 1050 will be ok for other VR stuff.

It's just a strange combo - gaming laptop with VR but not suitable for VR gaming?

I bought this laptop on tuesday for 899, then today had a price match done to 829, then came home to see this deal and went back instore and got the vr with it too! I know the comments should relate to the deal, but I thought I'd just say that they were very accomodating in currys and you really dont hear about it enough so way to go currys!

Hot from me OP

Apart from rhe reviews for MR gaming are positive.

Can you post some of those reviews?

If you read/watch sites like Windows Central, MoreMixedReality or MixedRealityTV you will get a very biased opinion, clue is in the name.

I have owned (HP) and used (Lenovo) 2 mixed realty headsets that's how i know they are not suitable for gaming. The main issue is they aren't designed to be used when you are moving around, the headset isn't secured like the Rift or Vive.

If you are buying a laptop anyway this is a very nice freebie, but like i say not much use for VR gaming.

Apart from it is.

Yeah OK. It's a great gaming headset, a 1050 can run VR games on 2x 1440 displays at 90hz, all is great.
