Not true.

This laptop from Dixons has the "basic" graphics card (Integrated Intel GMA 4500MHD)

The one from Dell you mention at £549 includes the better 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD4330

Dell dont seem to do this exact model (not that I can see).

The nearest they do is this at £459. It has the same CPU, same 4Gb memory, same graphics, but only a 320Gb hard drive.

So the Dixons deal is £25 more expensive but comes with a larger hard drive (500Gb over 320Gb).

Here is a list of all the Dell Inspiron 15" to compare features and prices.

The cheapest Core i3 Inspiron Dell do is this at £429 (if you want to save some money).

Core i3 330m CPU

3Gb memory (as opposed to 4 on the Dixons) - I hardly think most people will notice.

250Gb hard drive (as opposed to 500Gb on the Dixons)

Same "basic" graphics as the Dixons box.

You lose 1Gb of memory and 250Gb of the hard drive, and it costs £50 less. Only the buyer can decide if that is worth it.

I think paying that bit extra for the 1gb ram and double the hard drive space is worth it in the long run and its £45 extra not £50.
