Update: IT's BACK for Black Friday

Posted a deal for this laptop at the weekend at £527.13, when I bought it. Now even cheaper, to my frustration!

Price is £499 - 12% code = £439.12 + Quidco of 2%

Direct laptop link: search.dell.co.uk/1/1…tml

I believe the Quidco only pays on the excluding VAT price, but still an additional £7.32 Therefore final cost is only just over £430 for an i7 with dedicated graphics. Only downside is lack of 1080p screen.

I ordered mine friday night at £527, just arranged a return and ordered at this price! Costs £20 to return, but still saving myself £70

Any decent deals with a 1080p screen?
I looked at this only yesterday! Wow, is it therefore really worth it?

Are you pleased with it considering what you paid for it?

The best price i could find for a 1080p version is £640, also posted at the weekend but this hasn't reduced - deal: hotukdeals.com/dea…950
Good spec but the keyboard on these laptops are the worst I have ever used.
Yes really pleased - keyboard is fine for me. I wanted to pay this price originally (wanted i7 and decent graphics card) so disgruntled that it's so much cheaper so soon - not surprising I suppose due to Windows 7 OS.
Had you opened and turned it on Thumper? What did they say? ...am considering giving them a call as still less than 7 days...

Blows all of the other laptop deals floating around at the moment out of the water.

They can't refuse a return on the basis of the box has been opened etc. And they have to refund you their delivery charge too. A lot of companies try to scam you on these; especially the delivery charge thing but they are part of the DSR regulations.

I received it yesterday morning and I am using it right now They're collecting on Monday, and I expect i'll probably receive the new one Friday anyway!

As long as you have kept the box/packaging then you're fine, you have 7 days from the day AFTER receiving goods to return under Distance selling regulations. Despite what ive heard about Dell's poor customer service, they were helpful when I called. Although they wont refund the difference, they were fine to arrange the return. Just that they deduct £20 from the refund when they've collected the laptop.

Great deal, have been looking for a laptop for a week or so now and this is the one for me. If I wait any longer I'll never decide.

My laptop has just this minute died and seems unsurvivable so came on here hoping to find an okay deal.
Is this really expired? Was so happy to see it as the very first deal

Unfortunately it looks like they've now sold out

Could be some good deals on friday though
nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooo ooooooo
:(:(:(:( was just goin to buy this and the buy link says its not available. Did they price it wrong? Seems too cheap for an i7!!! Anyone no of any other laptop deals goin please post as my wife wants one for xmas thank you
And why some good deals friday thumper55 ??
Gutted I missed this Bargain to whoever got one!
That'll be the dark day at the end of the week then

typical saw this on the phone, and thought not quite the mix I wanted , but kinda over specced tbh.

I know it's dead nowm, nbut can those that actually have them tell me what models these SE 15R's are?? it was simple when the just added a model 'line' like xps /studio etc....

are these 15R SE's the same body as the 5050 and 5040 lines?? or ar they an upgrade from that??

I have an isssue personally wth the keyboard on the 5040 and 5050 lines, but as it isn't actually for me, if the spec is right I'll forgive it but if you know please say ...I'm not out to **** off your laptop, I just want to know if there are physical differences??

Cheers. EDIT:- well well well, it seems the splatter and coating you get on a MMA weld is deemed unacceptable in the forum?

I had seen this at lunchtime and took time considering as I think it was a pricing error!

All the other very similar laptops are/were still at £700-729 ish. Dell are just giving free delivery and showing it as a £19.99 reduction.

They are also giving a 12% discount for clearance laptops until 12.00 tonight, plus there is the possibility of Quidco cashback as well.

However, this particular item was showing as £788.99 - 19.99 total £499, before above discounts!

I think this was an error - see below:

Price £788.99
You Save £19.99
Total £499.00
incl. VAT, shipping

Placed my order at around 1.50pm today. Was looking to buy yesterday at £527 so BARGAINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN.

New 12% code for clearance laptops: 548TQQ4G097GW5

Can we unexpire this deal?
This is a great deal. This is a new-gen i7 processor for the price of a 2nd gen i5.

Now if I could justify it......
So can you definitely use the 12% code with this? I thought the code was just for laptops in the Win7 clearance section, which this one no longer is?
