If you were looking to buy one of these I wouldnt wait too long as Dell are sure to fix it soon.

Once again a Dell laptop that only has wireless b/g capability. I so want to buy a Dell for my daughter but why do I have to take a downgrade from her current wireless capability? Even at this price I'm going to give it a miss.

EDIT - Changed my mind, paid the extra for the wireless n option, and ordered one of these. Thanks Mike.

I know this has the ULV Processor but have laptop prices got "stuck" since I bought my last one 9 months ago or was that just a particularly good deal?

2 reasons I see are the £ isnt worth what it was against the $ now and I suspect Dell are trying hard to make a profit instead of almost giving it away ;-)

They've stuck, the pound has got no stronger. The Core i3 stuff is a little faster, but no cheaper. Your previous deal would I suspect get quite a lot of heat if it appeared now.

Gotcha

BTW thanks for that deal Mike !

Would have been interesting to see how hot it could have got back then if it hadnt been early morning and pulled by Dell after less than 2 hours.

My laptop left the China manufacturing plant at 04:15 yesterday morning. It was scanned out of the Hinckley hub for delivery at 16:08 today! Now that is impressive! Just hope this machine lives up to my expectations.
EDIT: Classic Walsh Western - we phoned yesterday and said no-one would be in until PM. Delivery agreed as pm today, and scheduled as such on their delivery and tracking system. Delivery van turned up at 08:40 this morning! Luckily I was still in.
Just started setting this laptop up - Windows performance is 4.1 for the processor (no surprises really) and 5.9 for the graphics card, so not too bad for a basic laptop. Should be fine for World of Warcraft.
