Seems like they priced matched the I3 that curry's is selling.

Good find OP, if only l could somehow get another £50 off to make up for lack of SSD!

Seems like a lot of computer for the money. I'd go for this to replace my desktop. Not fussed in portability etc. Decent for gaming? As in games from five years or so ago?

I think you might be right... They've price matched currys.co.uk/gbu…tml
which is a Intel® Core™ i3-6100U Processor

so I'm assuming this is a steal?

is the ram upgradable in this one?

dang, this is surely a mistake! great price and just purchased. Thanks OP!!!!

purchased amazing price thanks OP

Purchased as gift, and registered to thank you

Could be a mistake in description and actually it's an i3 like Currys are selling?

Tempted for my daughter does anybody know if this would play just cause 3 and sims 4 on what settings. Tempted for my daughter.

Is this the one where the screen got slated in reviews?

Looking at the discrete graphics card, AMD Radeon R7 M445 4GB RAM - it should be ok, you may have to reduce some of the settings if you are running it at full 1920x1080 however.

All gone!

other than being i7 is this lots better than this Lenovo currys.co.uk/gbu…tml

All gone!

Phew... just saved me £449

Just ordered, thanks!

I'm interested to know why people like touchscreen laptops. Surely having an oily finger smudged screen isn't ideal for viewing the screen.

Would this also be able to run most of the newer PC games? (not necessarily at the highest settings)

No SSD, a bit of a lump in terms of portability and I suspect the build quality and screen is poor. Otherwise it's decent bang for buck.

TBH, I'm not sure with some of the very new games, as it's only a really basic GPU comparable to the Geforce 940MX. I wouldn't recommend buying this in the hopes of running all the latest games, you may end up disappointed.

If you want to game so much then buy a console?

Does it come with display port?

would this be any good for running solid works (no rendering, just creating parts and drawings)

Depends if you want 17 inch laptop with longer battery life or smaller one with less. What makes it *much* better? The slightly different graphics chip?

Ah. Fair point. Then the screen size and battery life and weight are biggest differences. Whether the screen size is advantage and worth the extra weight or not depends on user

thanks hotukdj and pondlife, bought it.

Does anyone know how much this laptop is normally? I've looked on Google and can't seem to find it.
