Been looking for a 17" laptop for a while and was tempted by the Medion offer on here, but the processor seemed a bit old.

Then I saw this one:

Operating System Windows 7 Home Premium

Processor Speed 2 GHz

Seemed a decent spec for £399.99 and quidco tracked almost immediately at £26.67

The only thin is that it is described as a Dell Inspiron 15R 17.3" Laptop on the main page, but the invoice says its a "Dell Inspiron 17R Laptop w 500GB Black "

It should be here tomorrow so I will update this when I have it

EDIT: well its here and is indeed the same spec as the Oyy one linked further down the page but £122 cheaper. It's very nicely built and pretty quick

It is a 17R not 15R. The cpu is probably a P6000/6100/6200.

This thing has no graphics card at all. Graphics Card Intel HD Graphics HM57 UMA - this is probably the worst thing ever to put in a laptop as a graphics card. Cold.

Im wanting a 17"

Im not into gaming or such so this could be the one. Hot

Hmmm none at all? So no picture on the screen then?

I think you mean that it has on board graphics with shared memory and the "probably the worst thing ever to put in a laptop as a graphics card" is a little on the sweeping side

If it is not an i3 then it will probably be going straight back! Their online description states "thanks to the speedy Intel Core i3 processor and 4GB worth of RAM."

It should be an i3, the HM57 reference gives that a way.

It's a P6100 according to oyyy That's got the same part code - 7010-3591

The P6000 series are cut down Core i3 cpus (no Hyperthreading and slower clock speed) and use the same HM57 chipset.

so is this an i3 or not? now Im confused.

Chaplin - Not looking at it...

The description is wrong on every level, All they have done is taken the blurb off the Dell website which describes the whole range..

Looking at the specs they say it has a 2.0ghz processor, which means It wont be a i3 as there is no such thing as a 2.0ghz i3, it will be the P6100... but syaing that like pointed out by the OP they say it has a 500gb hard drive in the spec but only a 320gb hard drive in the title...

Here is a link to a comparison of the P6100 processor and the i3 370M, 2.4ghz processor on intels webiste

You can fix the link by putting url and /url (with square brackets) around the link.
