Upgrades:
500GB (7200rpm) Serial ATA Hard Drive with 16MB DataBurst™ cache add £15.00
Or
Add the 22" TFT monitor and 256meg graphics then use the 10% off voucher to get the lot for £579

Mix and match your own upgrades to enable use of the voucher as you wish.

Sorry Mike you seem to be a god at finding these deals, do you have any idea if this would have a dual vga output so it could handle dual displays?

Cheers

Both cards can handle dual display, I believe the 128meg has 1 dvi and 1 vga and the 256meg has 2x dvi so you would use adaptors should you need 2 x vga for some reason.
Check the support manuals section for conformation on each.

I have a question, is the XPS chassis worth a £55 price increase?

Out of curiosity I speced this deal (D015012) against the XPS deal D01X409 and it is about 55 cheaper. I know the XPS 420 case looks nice but does it give any other benefits

Thanks

Is there any way to drop the hard drive down to 250gb on this deal? I couldn't see it when I looked but then I couldn't see this deal until it was posted either!

This might be a stupid question (and possibly been asked before) but how do you get the price of £419? The PC costs this much after discounts etc but then £60 is added for delivery!

Have you actually tried taking off the monitor and going through to checkout?

The delivered price as stated already is £418.99

if you use the link to go to the deal - the 419 includes VAT and shipping . . .

Looks like a veritable bargain to me

*swiftly cuts credit card up, just in case*

I have taken the monitor off etc - its just at the bottom of the checkout where it shows VAT etc it is adding on £60 to the £419 for delivery. This is what is confusing me, when configuring the machine it does say price is inclusive of VAT and Shipping

Ignore me - I have worked it out now, ahem ahem...

Have gone for this deal, thanks, seems a great bargain! well to me anyway. Cheers

Is there room for additional HDD's in this machine?

Is the 24" monitor any good?

Is the graphics card good enough for video editing? hows it compare to a nvidia?

Video editing doesn’t stress the graphics card so this will be fine; it does stress the CPU and hard drive(s) though.

EPP discounts are only to be used by employees who's companies participate in the dell programme, the terms of use are strictly enforced. Any mention of them here may be considered as aiding to defraud so will be removed.

Anybody know what power supply comes with this - I've already got a 8800 GT and am wanting to upgrade and wondering if the PSU will suffice. Cheers

I want to get something that I can future proof and play high end games and work in 3D graphics on.

Is this a good start.

Can I use any discounts like first order for dell business etc.?

What extras would you recommend?

Please advise.

Thanks
