You only lose about 20% of it, and you might use 64 bit in the future.

There's some extension thing, pae I think. Don't know whether it actually helps in reality tho.

It shows it all (to stop so much "my RAMz r broken" tech support calls), but still doesn't use all of it.

That makes more sense to me. Otherwise I can't possibly see where they can find enough unique addresses to reference the full 4GB.
