Looks like another bargain to me?

Definetly a good price, but just watch out because the processor is the cheapest one available with only 1mb cache

Which is why its that price ;-) still a nice deal for someone wanting the conductivity of the 6400 but not having a real hard workload for it.

Ye, I had just noted the CPU actually

OMG that is amazing, a brilliant deal. :w00t:

Still available this week at time of posting, nice price if you dont need a real powerhouse of a cpu.

The Hard Drive was updated today from a 60Gb to 80Gb...

Yes, from the hype it looked like we were going to get some specials, bit of a damp squib really.

Better state too that this is a 1 day only upsize of the hard drive, back down again tomorrow.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the post. I'm looking to purchase 3 laptops with windows xp pro on them for basic business use, max budget £450 each. I don't think this one is what I'm looking for.

Is this the best deal with xp pro around at the moment:

Any help would be greatly appreciated !

Thanks again,

The 1501 that you linked to is the best value in that range but I would prob go for this with xp pro instead.

Thanks !

Thats a nice laptop, and I'm thinking of going with it with the vista business, do you know if it is the 32bit version.

And do you think I will get it cheaper if I phone up and order 3 over the phone ?

Thanks again !

BTW,

Is this one better for an extra £40: hotukdeals.com/for…679

Dell only supply 32 bit Vista of any flavour.

You can try phoning but remember the Quidco cashback on each, work that out first so you know what your aiming for.

These are getting more and more expensive ;-) we started at £400.

The last 1501 perhaps has a better cpu than the 6400 I pointed out but you did say they were for business use so they dont need a stonking cpu do they. I would still go for the 6400 I think, with quidco.

Thanks for the reply, I went for the 6400 version as your point is very valid. I rang them up and spoke to a chap in Ireland who managed to waver 2 of the delivery charges making the total cost for 3 £1290.23, just £430 each well under my budget.

Thanks again, tries to add rep but the system wouldn't let me it appears I've given you to much already lol...
