The truelife screen is a selectable FREE upgrade so if you dont like them you dont have to have it.

Hi MikeT

I'm hoping on getting a HotDeal similar to
]305-N08643 £385.58
]305-N09643 £411.32
particularly the first one. Bigger hard drives and True Life screen are both things I would prefer not to have.

My brother purchased two of the sub £400, and hes the one who told me about this site. ...... a bit late though :-(

I'm willing to wait, any ideas about the possible effects of Xmas, New Years build up on Dells pricing.

Thanks

The one in this thread is as close as your going to get for now. I have no idea of dells plans for the future, sorry.

Mike, thanks for the link, I got Dell to sell me this one for £420 after some haggling and explaining to them that I wanted to replace the one I got for £411.32 as it had been stolen.

They've given me a dedicated account manager now too for all my future purchases. Nice.

Mike/Anyone

Are the graphis decent on this machine as I am thinking of ordering.

Also just wondering of the Inspiron is better/wose than the Vostro?

Thanks

the graphics are no good for games

if you want to play modern games you will need a nvidia 8600gt for the graphics

I think this one has gone up in price to £470.07
I maybe wrong but have tried all options.
It never was for me, but just updating.

Also your comments on another thread have been duly noted

MikeT

I think dell have got themselves into a bit of bother by constantly … I think dell have got themselves into a bit of bother by constantly selling at near on cost price and my guess is that they have been told to increase margins and stop discounting where possible.

........still looking :santa:
