Saw this while browsing for Laptops to buy. This is the cheapest one I've seen for students because dell added a 10% discount (dropping the price to £944.99) for students using Prime student till 14th October 2017. Has pretty good specs but a 258GB SSD would have made it better.

Go on europc, get a refurb for 300 less.
I'd pass on this and wait for the next model to arrive. Apparently Dell are ditching the TN 1080p screen, that has attracted so much negative press, in favour of a better 1080p IPS panel. Furthermore, the new Kaby Lake-R CPUs will made a big difference especially if you're going for the cheaper i5 level processors. Finally, you will in future be able to spec the laptop with a 1060 GPU card (something you can't do with the current Inspiron 7000 Gaming range).
You can get the same spec on pcspecialist for less, and with an IPS screen.
I was close to buying this but reviews kept repeating the same thing over and over.

> POOR screen
> POOR keyboard
> BULKIER than competition (although I'm a fan of thicker laptops, makes me feel like I paid for something)

And yes, you can get better graphics, better screen, normal keyboard for that price - good effort anyway but cold from me.
Wasn't thinking like £800 last week?
