Not sure if this is a just a disclaimer - but more info on this

Battery Life Information:
The useable battery life of used laptop batteries can vary greatly from model to model. Therefore we guarantee the batteries in our used/refurbished laptops will last for a minimum of 10 minuites. In most cases they will hold a much longer charge, but due to the nature of used batteries, this is the minimum time we can guarantee.

TY for pic.

Does it come with the original box?

UK mainland only.

Excellent deal. Even if you replace the screen its under £100, still a good deal

If there were any justice on HUKD, this should be getting LOADS of heat.
It's a Dell, it's an i5, it's under £210.
I used to buy stuff from BigPockets on a regular basis - they are (or were, at least) a trustworthy outfit.

It is under 'used laptops' category. So basically a used and then refurbished laptop for £210? Hmmm. I'll give it a pass.

its an i5 thou. Where you going to get that at this price?

Bear in mind that these laptops might, stressing that, still have service warranty support in place which would allow you to get the LCD at least replaced with a working unit.

has anyone purchased?

i contacted bigpockets to send me pictures of the white spots and they . . . . declined.

dont mind the scratches on the outer case, but white spots on the screen allbeit minor is going to interfere with the viewing in some way, after all that is what you looking at! brilliant specs but . . .

would you buy a tv with white spots on screen? or some spectacles with white spots on lenses?

also what is minor? what is minor to one person is major to another!

so bigpockets are one company i am unlikely to do business with

vague description of products, unwilling to support purchase by sending pictures of products, and have a hefty re-stocking charge if sent back

this is one COLD COLD DEAL! - DONT BUY!!!

The white spots are 'pressure marks' - they're caused by putting heavy things on-top of the laptop which damages the backlight and causes light to bleed-out.

I'll be honest, I've used laptops which have them and barely noticed them - they really only show-up on BLACK backgrounds, which means playing videos or games perhaps!?!?

You can't take a picture of them - and even if they had, they'd only be showing you one of their laptops - not necessarily the one you'd receive - so I can see why they don't do that.

I've used BigPockets before and their descriptions and honest and service is fair - many refurb sellers wouldn't have mentioned the pressure marks as they really do not effect the functionality of the laptop

p.s. on warranty - you'd not get a replacement screen because pressure marks are caused by abuse. If it really bothers you, a new screen could be fitted but a quick peek suggests they're expensive for this model (£70ish) AND you'll almost certainly break the bezel getting it out as they're paper-thin (add anouter £10-15 if you care about that tho tape will fix it too!!)

It arrived today - Great laptop and 8 months warranty left if I could get it transferred....
No white marks on screen, but lid seriously scratched (I don't mind that).
I'm sending it back because the screen is poor - awful contrast and viewing angles and a bit dull and yellow around the edges.
I've now ordered:
hotukdeals.com/dea…116
Same size screen, 2nd gen 'i' processor, but a bit slower.
I wouldn't recommend this laptop in this condition.
