Worth mentioning that it is the low end 3000 series model, not the one that is shown in the deal photo.

Dell laptops have gone expensive

Just need to wait for a good deal, but they are worth paying extra for compared to garbage like ASUS
No CD/DVD Drive, prices for office are ridiculous, only 256 GB. Better waiting for Black Friday or a better deal.

A lot of modern laptops don't have cd/dvd drives as its more form over function. You can install office free to your laptop if your workplace has office365.

Prices aren't always cheaper on Black Friday and are often cheaper at other times of the year.

How do you get office for free? I can find a 30% off 'home use program' online but not a free option.
Good chipset. Fast CPU, shame it doesn't have the Iris plus graphics the models a step above enjoy. This is denoted by the 'G1' moniker. When you see the G4 or G7 then you have the extra graphics power.

Saying that it's still a decent upgrade over the 8th and 9th gen equivalents.

Office365 if your workplace has it

My workplace has 365, I was wondering how you get it at home for free? I googled it and found a 30% off home use thingy if you use 365 at work but couldn't find it for free.

Once signed into 365 there should be a button that says "install office". If that isnt there click your name top right, my account and an option should appear there somewhere.

This is a 72 hour sale,starting today.
The Inspiron 5000 can be got for £513-90 going through TCB.
I has a 512gb SSD and narrow border display.

Dell have these 14% off sales quite often but these are new models with 10th gen intel processors.
The sale will end Wed, midnight and the prices will go up.
These laptops are not even built yet, unlike most of the deals on here that have been lying about in shops and warehouses for ages.
Estimated shipping date 29/10/16.
It won`t hurt to hang on until Wed.

Which laptop are you interested in/

I am in need of 3x laptops, with their main purpose to be:

-General browsing
-checking emails, etc
-once in a blue moon watch movies

So although the usage is not heavy, i still would like something decent.

Which I have narrowed it down to

The Dell Inspiron 15 3000

10th Gen i5-1035G1
8GB, DDR4
512GB SSS

Price after discount: £497

&

The Dell Inspiron 15 5000
Which is the same spec I believe, but just with the screen bezel being slimmer

Price after Discount £540
Thanks for that.
I see the one you mean it`s CN33502 if you need to search it on the Dell site.

Don`t forget to do it through Top cash back to get another 6% off the pre-vat price.

i5?

Which i7 do you mean.
They all seem to be the latest 10th gen processors which are higher spec than the i5.

The ones I have listed is i5
Depends on your usage tbh, if it's for the things that I have listed, then an i5 should be perfectly fine
14% off ALL Inspiron, XPS and G-Series ends Wednesday midnight.
