The processor in this machine is an absolute beast and it also comes with a decent graphics card and FHD LCD screen. The only upgrade I did was adding a backlit keyboard which cost £20.

Pretty good deal, 512GB NVMe SSD is nice addition, but... the processor is not a beast! It's base speed is only 1.30GHz with max turbo frequency 3.90GHz, but it will not be able to maintain that speed for long as it will throttle and settle at much lower speed. The graphics card isn't good, MX230 is worse than 850M... but overall it's ok for Inspiron 15 5000 series...
Yup, I wouldn't pay more than £549.99 for this one.

Are you sure about this? Reviews are saying 10th gen around 30% faster then 8th gen series

Wut , if your not happy then set the minimum processor state as a percentage in the control panel power options.

Of course i can set it on high, but what's the point to have fans blowing like crazy all time?

You dont have to set it on high? Like I said its percentage based. You just reduce the minimum throttle to where your happy.

In relaton to first your first post, you would just need to up it a little from its defacto (W10) of 5%?

They claim the 10th gen has better thermal dynamics then the 8th gen so its less likely to engage your fan anyway.

Why? I said it's not worth more than that.

Because I'd rather get what you said for £549.99, so I can save some money instead. And if its only worth that much, surely there must have been something that passed your way or you're aware of. Basically, one HUKDer supporting another
