EDIT2: Today early morning 22/01/11 several N5010 units appeared at much more resonable prices - so it's still worth checking on a daily basis.

EDIT : Since Dell introduced the kiss of death money off voucher - pricing has gone up significantly !!! The system I got for £348 two weeks ago now costs £365.90 EVEN WITH THE £25 OFF VOUCHER APPLIED.

A few good deals on well specced i3 and i5 15R/N5010 Inspirons at the moment with free delivery offer.

Reasonable chance of there being a 1GB graphics card in there as well.

Can't seem to find it.

Now that would be a surprise! I'm happy to have bagged it as advertised for my GF - this easily goes for £100 more on the usual EBay stores that peddle refurbished Dell gear.

You have to be patient - they come and go - when I bought an hour ago there were around six N5010 units there - with various good configs I3-350 i3-370 3GB 4GB 320GB 500GB even one with 640GB (which I missed) - all under £300 plus VAT but free delivery.

Can't find one with the 4gb ram or 500gb hdd but one with 3gb ram and 320 hdd.
Anyone know what graphics cards these things have?

If there is no mention of a Graphics card for example on the M5030 should i assume its an integrated Intel one?

These will have shared graphics using the core i3 on chip Intel HD Graphics product.

I doubt the optional ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 discrete graphics will be included at this price point. We are looking at a sub £350 laptop with 500GB/4GB spec. The shared Intel HD Graphics is good for HD video playback, also it does DTS and Dolby HD audio via the HDMI 1.3 interface. This is not a gamers machine - but a quality everyday use laptop that will suffice for a couple of years.

Ideally I need graphics capability that will at least play Sims 3 (not required for demanding high end games) and make it possible to run video editing software.

Just got the following:

Inspiron N5010
Processor : I5-430M(2.26GHz)
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium (64 BIT)
MOD,HD,500,5.4,P11,SGT-W,XLOB

LCD Back Cover : Mars Black

£377 in total, I wanted to pay the extra for the i5 even though it may not necessarily be worth it in terms of performance but it will help resale value when I'm finished with it.

I wonder if it will have a dedicated graphics card? Bonus if it has but doubt I'll find out until I get it.
Edited by: "Mada06" 6th Jan 2011

Really annoyed. I keep missing these.

Can you upgrade the graphics card at a later date?

There were 2 I5's, only difference being a 320gb vs 500gb HDD. I went for the larger one for an extra £7 or so. You just have to keep checking and decide exactly what you want in advance, I believe there are drops in the afternoon.

More i3's just gone on. 500gb and 320 gb

Yes, I saw a couple of these yesterday - but couldn't justify another £29 for the "Turbo boost" feature - because I'm tight !

Theyv do keep popping up throughout the day - Dell confirmed my order within a few hours with the Service Tag - a bit ominous since that reveals ,,,

System Type: Inspiron N5010
Ship Date: 29/06/2010
Dell IBU: Europe

could mean a late customer return - but I've bought outlet stuff before and everythings been OK with the warranty etc. In any case you have 7 days to return it if you don't like it and the prospect of Dell making gestures to persaude you not to return it.

Hope some more folks get a bargain despite the cold votes!

i bought a N5010 from Dell Outlet about 3-4 months ago.

it came with a 1Gb ATI graphics card.

Just to let you know i brought mine via dell outlet and on the original description there was no mention of the graphics card so after i ordered it i emailed them to ask if it does have one and it did have one...

Here is the same specification as I bought above: configure.euro.dell.com/del…y=6

A decent saving, just hoping it has the graphics card now

There's an i3 3gb and 320gb, and Pentium dual core left, but want the i3 processor with bigger memory and hdd.

£367 delivered.

Went for the one i5 processor version and despite some right funny goings on where I thought i'd lost the item, purchased an i3 instead only to find the i5 still in my basket. Might be lucky with the i5 processor variant and get a dedictaed graphics card but won't hold my breath.

Well done - see that free delivery now runs till end of the month!

So time for folks to chase those bargains - that is if Dell don't jack up the pricing.

Tend to think it's probably the high specced i5 units that have those hidden ATI cards - maybe I should have gone for one - but mine's for the GF and wanted to prove that I could get her a bargain laptop for what she was going to pay - £329 for some Tesco Compaq special, which was nothing compared to what I got!

I noticed that. I was wondering though if this is reflected in the fact that the i3 processor is a 370 which I believe is a higher spec i3 processor than in those laptops people have been purchasing thus far?

Even if it is, it seems a much bigger hike in price than just a slightly better specced processor would justify? Perhaps there are other additional bits of hardware not revealed in the item description that also explain why this one is so much more expensive?

Or, they are just wising up to the fact that these are proving extremely popular sellers and are cashing in.

Nice little private thread this is turning out to be by the way, despite the the deal being voted cold. I can only assume people have done this because you cannot guarantee that the items will ever be available?

I agree that pound for pound these are far better deals that the regular new laptops currently available in store or online. This lappy is to replace a faulty Toshiba that was purchased by my daughter for which I finally got a refund from the retailer. I was struggling to find anything that was as good for the money given that the Tosh was an official Toshiba refurb which we paid £351 for and which had agreat spec for the money. I was almost resigned to the fact that we were going to have to settle for a much lower specced laptop given the budget of £351.

I bought a cracking 'as new' Dell Outlet desktop just after Christmas from a re-seller which got me thinking about Dell for the laptop and although I was checking re-sellers on ebay forgot about considering the offical Dell outlet store. It was this thread that put me on to it and how pleased am I. It was worth paying £16 over budget to get the i5 processor and if we land a dedicated graphics card as well, well that really will be a bonus. Just hope the laptop is in the same unmarked, spanking brand new condition that the Dell refurb desktop is, and that it doesn't come with any faults.

I missed them again yesterday with working....has anyone seen any go on today at all?

Nothing new so far today. Don't know for sure but suspect stock probably only changes Monday to Friday.

The critical time seems to be around the 3.00 to 3.30 p.m. mark. I was checking on and off all day yesterday and around 3.30p.m the stock levels in the inventory for Inspiron models suddenly went up to over 90 having been in the low 70's the rest of the day.

Checked immediately and there were about half a dozen N5010's with different specifications. Mind you they all went pretty quickly and I was lucky to get the only one with an i5 processor.

Thanks, typical have been watching most of today and nothing had gone, suspected they may not put any on over the weekend - hopefully there will be some more on Monday

Agree, try looking around 11:00 aswell

My delivery is scheduled for Tuesday, have emailed Dell to give me a full spec based on my Service Tag - I really don't think I'll get an ATI card stashed inside.

Also, have a look here ...

This one does have the 1GB ATI graphics and bluetooth

£100 more than I paid for the i7 processor and a monstrous 750gb hdd.

Out of my price bracket but a good deal none the less.

It's impossible to tell whether you will get a dedicated graphics card as it just depends if the model you buy had upgrades added at the time it was originally purchased.

Fingers crossed we might all be lucky.

At 19.01 p.m. I see there are still 2 N5010 with i3 processors still available.
