Dell P2414H 24" IPS Monitor - No Stand - P/N 4YN53

1 Year RTB Warranty
Supplied with Power, Display Port, VGA & USB Leads
Manual and drivers disc may or may not be supplied, in which case they are easily downloadable from the Dell website
no Stand is provided

A pretty decent 24" Monitor you'll find for less than £90

Admittedly it doesn't have a stand, but you'd be able to pick one up for like £15-20 on ebay.
So I suppose it would be more like £100 after buying a stand. Still a good price for a 24" Dell Monitor in my opinion.

It is VESA compatible - even better offer if you dont want a stand for it.

I bought the 22" model from this website a last month, never had any issues with it and I've very happy with it
These tend to go quite quickly, so I would suggest going for one quickly

ebay.co.uk/itm…a09 This looks to be the exact one for £18! The listing in the above comment was the one I was originally going to go with but the descriptions seems to state that it won't be silver:

New other (see details)
“NEVER USED, STILL IN WRAPPING THE STANDS COME IN BLACK AND BLACK/SILVER ( running low on silver )”

Maybe worth a gamble but I'm going to go for £18 one. Thanks for posting OP, I was expecting an email when they got it back in stock but they didn't send one so I'm glad I checked here!

I'm getting a non-secure icon when trying to checkout. Anyone else?

Bought this about a month ago, haven't had any problems so far. As for the stand, I'm using a desk mount. Heat from me, has been a very good monitor for my needs.

I got one of these around Christmas time. Its been great. Recommended.

I just included one of their stands for £20 and it looked well worth it

Wish they had HDMI input as I have several devices that use it (Raspberry Pi, Now TV, etc.).

You could use a hdmi to dp cable only difference will be sound won't get transmitted but they don't have speakers anyway if I'm right

This doesn't seem to be the case, I have the 22inch version, and a passive HDMI to DP cable does not work, I've tried it on both AMD and NVidia GPUs, a DVD player, and a laptop (Intel GPU) and had no luck.

However, a HDMI to DVI cable may work, I haven't tried it myself but it should work.

Tempted but worried the image difference between my U2412m and this would get annoying? Anyone have issues with using 2 different monitors?

HDMI to DVI usually works, yes, but not all my devices have a headphone jack so I'll have to hack a solution to split that up - and turns out to be costly. Good deal for those who are using it with a PC, but if you need HDMI do reconsider.

I bought a basic HDMI to DVI cable off Ebay, for around £1.99, to run my Pi into a very old Dell monitor.

if somebody would want an original stand for £10 (pick up in Bournemouth or this Thursday/Friday in London), pls pm me. can even sell it with the screen (1905fp on samsug pva panel), but it sometimes gets vertical lines, so I assume it is faulty.
I can also post it at the cost of postage (as low as £2 if collected from collection point)

Yes, there will be differences. I ordered one of this monitor 2 months ago and thought they should be the same, but I was wrong...

Tastyy.

Are these refurbs?

Bought 2. Will use the stands from my old Dell 19" 4:3 monitors which have served me well over the last 7 years.

Thanks OP!

Bought one of these a few months ago - I had to get it replaced due to high levels of backlight bleed in the bottom-left corner (a known issue with this model it seems). The replacement was much better, and Andy at NRG couldn't have been more helpful. Very happy with the service I received.

Would recommend.

Confused description says USB 2 and picture looks incorrect as model should be USB 3?

My bad this is the older p version

This ends up being about 110 with stand. Isn't it better to get a brand new monitor instead? Like this one?

That monitor is a TN monitor, this is a LED IPS screen. It also has display port and DVi making it good for multiple monitor setups.

Horizontal, that is how all TV's and Monitors are measured.

Umm... It is? They must be using small inches.

Bought the 22 for my son some time ago for a dual monitor set-up. Good company to deal with.

They're measured diagonally. 24" horizontal would be a roughly 27.5" monitor.

Won't work. There's electronics in the cable which convert DP to HDMI only. It doesn't work in the other direction.

Amazon have a monoprice stand for 19 quid delivered - Prime too.

I had the same issue, but true to their word a replacement was at my front door the following morning and was swapped over immediately, instead of having to return the faulty unit and wait, awesome service right there!

As for a stand, I already had a VESA wall mount that pivots, rotates, move up/down and away/closer to the wall. Desk stands take up space and get in the way. Get a wall mount, or something that mounts at the very back of a desk.

All gone.....

I just got in and bought 6 of them, now to find a 6 screen stand

Any monitors they offer with the 1 year RTB warranty are refurbs, yes.
