Been looking for a 17 inch backpack for the Dell Inspiron 17 5000 Laptop I picked up from the John Lewis deal end of 2016.

Thought this was a pretty decent price for a Dell branded backpack.
Be aware this price has some current discounts applied. So be quick!
Original price was £87.83

While appropriately designed padding is a plus, I confess that don't understand the popularity branded laptop bags over a more generic type bag.
They amount to a flag that says "I'm carrying at least £600 worth of kit - please mug me".

Thanks ordered
Heat added just wonder how long will last as looks not too strong to handle heavy 17.3 and some other staff I have got Wenger with metal handle
Ordered as well, looks like a great deal.
Ordered too :-D

I wouldn't trust the top handle of many of these backpack. A 17" laptop is pretty heavy plus having other accessories in there as well. Most of the time I just "one shoulder" it.

I totally agree. BUT IT'S £24.98 MAN!
Personally I don't go on public transport so this is really me wanting a bag I can fit my laptop in.
And at this price I thought it was worth a punt!

Ah, okay. Bit odd to quote an original US price then. If you said you didn't believe the original UK price that would be another thing and only time will tell with that.
Seems like a great price, oredered, thanks
RRP is for the bag alone or with laptop good deal though.

most people carry laptops / tablets and expensive phones in their bags these days anyway, so not really relavent.
I'd never buy from Dell again because 20 years ago they sent me an invoice with a typo on it! Really bad experience and I've still not fully recovered!

Go on. What was the typo then?

Oh don't get him started, he'll have to re live the utter misery of Dell invoicing to Ms Ifa instead of Mr Ifa

Oh the horror

Horses for courses - but I thought it worth making the comment because it might save someone from making themselves a target for the sake of looing cool.

No, you have a valid point. Not a great issue for me as I'd just be putting it in the boot of my car, so I didn't really consider it.

Also it would take a lot more than a Dell badge to make me look cool!
In fact, with the reputation Dell has these days it would probably put thieves off!
Well that was quick, mine came today with ups, hidden behind the blue bin great quality, infact on par with my go pro one which was nearly £100. Fits my 15" Inspiron with loads of room to spare, which you would expect as it can fit 17" !

Thanks OP great buy this one
I went to buy another for my brother but now £85
Still shows as £24.98 for me, maybe you should try again. Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated. Mine is due on Monday.
