so do all the moderators on here work as dell salesmen? LOL !!

half of the forum is dell, dell, dell

A misprice but not really jaw dropping. A decent buy for someone. well done mike as usual.

Note the spec above includes very basic graphics, which I am not convinced would support the Vista Aero interface.

The only graphics card offered is £47 and if you select it then it takes it up to £355.49.

Maybe its because Dell offer the hottest deals at the moment! :whistling:

I'd say these are deliberate errors by dell to try and boost the start of the new range.Dell are a lot more savvy the most people think they are....

With this one if you choose Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E6320 Processor (1.86GHz,1066MHz,4MB cache,
Genuine Windows Vista™ Home Premium
1024MB 667MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [2x512
250GB (7200rpm) Serial ATA Hard Drive with 8MB DataBurst™ cache
remove mouse, Mouse Included in Wireless Keyboard and Mouse option
Dell™ v92 Data/Fax Modem with cable add £0.00

You get the lot for £384.87 plus you can add the printer below for £13

Dell Colour Printer 725 - Single Function Inkjet £13.19

Anyone know how the Intel CPUs stack up to the AMD ones these days?

Eg, the

Athlon 64 X2 3600+ through to 5600+

Vs.

Intel Core 2 Duo E4300/E6320

Also - what's ViiV, it's free, is it better or worse? All I can see is the dreaded DRM.

So a brand new PC with a years warranty, 19 inch TFT, windows vista premium, 160Gb HDD, DVD +/-RW, Core 2 Duo, modem and 1Gb RAM for under £300 if you use quidco isnt impressive?

Mike, excellent find!

the price when you get the discount for Vista premium is £284.99, it then objects to the minimal RAM, so you add 512K at £23.50 to give you £308.49.

Therefore surely your spec summary should read 1Gb ram not 512Mb?

Hmmm, sometimes. Though other times i think they are just a bit dim.
