Nice one guys, I'll add in the offer on Dell's site with the Discount code and Quidco for those who have it.

I actually bought this yesterday but wasn't sure if it was hot enough for here. I already have one of these monitors and they are superb, only gripe is the screen reflects off it's own gloss surround which can mess with your eyes in a dark room.

If you have an HDMI Freeview box could you plug it in and receive TV?

Don't see why not. Dunno how you would go about the sound though.

Yep, though turning it off would be a problem (no remote control for the monitor) and as "DarrylJohn" said, there wouldn't be any sound

Bought this the other day. It came today, from Dell and I am mega impressed.

Never had a screen this size and the picture is great. Well worth the money paid.

If I'm looking to connect a games console to the monitor alongside my computer, this probably isn't what I'm looking for. Right?

Two of these to add to my 24" dell for Eyefinity gaming might be good...have some heat!

The monitor should go into standby when there is no input signal detected.

I helped my friend buy the 23" version and its pretty decent. you can get a dell sound bar for around £17

Bought this a couple of months ago, got it at the bargain price of £101 when it was new out, (had a 20 pounds off promotion, and allowed you to use a promotional code, taking more off again)

anyway, even for this price, its a steal, ive been nothing but impressed since I have got it, great size, nice widescreen aspect and great picture

As for using it as a screen for a games console, its ideal, and is viewable from all angles, and probably unbeatable for the price, only downside is its not full 1080p, though this doesnt matter for a pc monitor, you may be more bothered if your playing ps3/xbox, and you would need speakers, you could either get the soundbar for the monitor, or use another set up using the optical out (i know ps3 has one, dont know about xbox 360)

errr, yes it is.

You can connect it, via HDMI for the picture. Depending which console you need the right cables:

360 [with HDMI output] - you HAVE to buy the stupid HDMI sound cable back because the stock cable is too large and blocks the HDMI output.

PS3 - You can use either the optical or default RCA cable it comes with.
You will either need an Amp or a set of speakers to plug directly into.

I got the 24 version with a freeview box to it and yes you need an some external speakers you can use the dell ones as someones mentioned or any other regular ones you use for a computer hope that helps.

The monitor aparently has an audio in/out, does this mean you can pass the audio recieved from HDMI out to an external source from the monitor? I have tried to find an answer to this question from various sources but so far no luck.

Guys i have had this monitor since January and confirm it is an EXELLENT monitor and IS full HD

You can hook up anything through the hdmi port and run the sound out through the 3.5mm output

I also use this for my PS3 and the picture is stunning on games and bluray

For the money you cant beat it, im typing this on it right now!

Using discount codes along with quidco usually invalidates the quidco claim as stated on their site.

I'm getting £134.10 after JH5T0BP6V8374D discount. Has it gone up or what?

Really tempted to get this, I hope it stays at this price whilst I decide.

This one uses the AX510PA soundbar for those that are interested...
