Might be useful if you are looking for a high spec laptop, I have ordered this for replacing the current one. This one includes memory upgrade to 4gb, gr8 screen resolution and bluetooth compared to the standard config. I had added the 4gb thumb drive to bring the total to 700 and use the 10% discount code posted elsewhere - JZ?WSHKC6RH6SN . This in effect means that the memory upgrade from 3 to 4, blueetooth and the thumb drive are free in additional to standard offer

You could play around with the config a bit and get a blueray (for a 3 gb and no thumb drive may be).. i already have a ps3, so was not looking for a blueray drive

Well mate I would have gone for deal N0253505 with the following specification:

Dell Studio 15, Dell Evalue N0253505, 15.4 TrueLife Display, Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 (2.26 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB, 3 MB L2 cache), 4096MB RAM, 320GB HDD, Blu-Ray ROM Drive (Read/Write CD/DVD & Read Blu-Ray Disc), 256MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450, Bluetooth, Travel Remote Control Express Card, 2.0 Mega pixel Integrated Web Camera, Intel WiFi Link 5100 (802.11 a/b/g/n), Windows Vista Home Premium, 2Yr In-Home Warranty Support, including evenings and Saturdays (Included)

You can apply the discount code JZ?WSHKC6RH6SN to this and get it for £611.

Saw this ]here

Scroll down to the the last deal on that page.

Even if you upgrade to the 15.4" Widescreen WUXGA+ CCFL (1920x1200) TFT Display with TrueLife it comes to £683 after discount:)

Having recently bought a Dell laptop with 4GB RAM, I thought I'd make you aware of how what I've found out...

Vista Welcome Center displays 4GB RAM
BIOS displays 4GB RAM
However, when I run Adobe After Effects, it shows 2GB RAM
When I run WinAudit, it shows 2GB RAM.

From that I first thought that Dell had somehow conned me, and my Windows was only really using 2GB.
Then I did some Googling and found ]this

It suggests that Windows does actually use the full 4GB without need of a 64-bit OS.

From reading this ]form thread it seems that 64-bit works better with the processor and RAM.

I'm no technical expert, but I think it would be useful to make sure about the RAM on 32-bit, or consider a 64-bit OS.

Brains,
I saw a similar deal elsewhere too. I prefer the screen resolution/bluetooth over the blueray as i already have one its a good deal for someone looking for a blueray though

i bought same one from curry's during xmas for £489.with Blue ray 4gig Memory etc...
