This has had some really poor reviews.

Another Crap Deal, Voted Sub Zero

Can you show us a better one?

I don't get these new laptops, unless they have the 64bit version loaded, which I highly doubt, then it will only recognise 3GB of ram so 1GB is wasted.

Even if the 64bit is loaded they cause so many problems with 3rd party drivers that, in my opinion, it's just not worth the aggro!!!

64 bit is available as a free upgrade - I take your point about the drivers.

The bit about 4gb ram - I also thought that they only recognise 3 but I bought a HP the other week and it did recognise all 4 and that was 32 bit.

I have the T8400 (2.4GHz) version of this. No problem with 64bit vista / win7 drivers now - that's why I got the Dell, most manufacturers (even ATI/AMD) don't have a downloadable driver for the graphics, but Dell do. Most of the other reported problems were a from few months ago.

I've had one of these for about 6 months, paid £600 for it back then. I think it's really good, had no problems.
Loaded Windows 7 64-bit it and so far so good. Had no driver issues.

Regarding the 3/4GB RAM...a 32-bit OS is capable of seeing the 4GB but it cannot address it or use it. The max it can do is 3GB.

Great laptop I thought. At the start it was getting about 3 hour battery life running Photoshop, Firefox and connected to wireless network. Now it's gone down to about 2 and a half.

The only downside was I couldn't get OSX working on it fully, no ATI drivers available for the Mobility, but I doubt that's something most people are interested in anyway.

This one did not work out, it arrived defective. Problems with buttons and speakers. They sent engineer to repair but he could not get speakers to work. Went back today.

They would not replace but said they will refund within a week. To get another we have to start again and place a new order.
