Normally I wouldn't recommend refurbs from Dixon/Cyrrys but this is a Dell laptop. You can get parts very easy and also you can install Windows XP or Win 7 yourself because drivers for both are available from Dell's web site. If you want a 17", this is a good deal, IMHO.

What's the video capability and does it have hdmi?

Seems like a decent deal imo.

The optical drive slot type which is a nice touch.

Guys, the reason why (i think) that this is going cold is because you can get a brand new dell inspiron 17 for £399 - ~£20 quidco = £379 with windows 7, better proc, more mem, bigger hdd, 1 years free in-home support, and av (not that great tbh).

I think that the extra £80 is defo worth it compared to this... of course, if your budget is £300 then go for it. Not voted either way though.

I think the reason why this deal is cold is because ppl don't know the difference between an Inspiron and a Studio. The Inspiron is a budget laptop, which doesn't make it a bad laptop, tho, but the Studio has a better built

There’s a Dell Studio 15 with a reasonable spec and Blur-ay for £400 – Dixons.

They have another Studio 17 in Blue with the same spec as the OP - £300.
