I've been thinking about buying a new laptop and I reckon this is a good bet. Looks like a cracking price for a laptop with an i7-820, am I right?

(On a side note, is that graphics card any good? My current laptop has an 8600M GT.)

if only it was a misprice so its £108 MMMMMM the feeling!!

The 565v is just a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4670 rebranded, so mid-range DX10 card... not brilliant, but not bad.

Why would you want this when you could, for this price, get a Mac with less power but a nice little badge of a half eaten 'apple' on the front that glows?

Ridiculous.

With a budget of £1100 I swear it must be possible to get a better deal than this.

Well I thought that, but honestly I've looked everywhere. My current laptop is an XPS M1530, which has been really good - it's just getting a little sluggish in games.

Looked at Alienware, but they're waaaaay overpriced - love the design, but the price is nuts.

Again, the cold voting starts by people that just doesn't understand the product they're looking at.

Trust me - THIS IS A FANTASTIC PRICE FOR THE SPEC.

Unless YOU can find the exact same, or better, spec cheaper - DO NOT VOTE COLD.

Yeah, after a bit of hunting I couldn't find anything better for the price.
Which surprised me somewhat, as it doesn't seem particularly good value.

Perhaps at the high-end people are subconciously comparing it with desktops. The price differencial between Laptops & Desktops of the same spec. increases dramatically the higher you go in spec.

think its partly (mainly) the processor, if you configure the 999 model from i7-720 to the 820 in this model they want 400 quid
still 900 quid for same laptop apart from a i7-720 is bit much for me even if seems nice
