£900 for that?

Are you serious?

A Core i7 920 costs £230.

4850 costs £120.

4gb 1067mhz ram costs £40.

With all the other stuff (motherboard, hdd, case). About £550 at the most. Cold.

Erm that's 3gb and not 4gb and $72 puts you at yer £50. Anyhoo.....why don't you take the pepsi challenge and configure the whole spec for under the price and remember not to leave anything out including your time to do it

I'd like to see the link to 3gb of triple channel 1066 DDR3 memory for £50 ????????????????

As for the PSU, yes you can buy a cheap unbranded PSU for £15 but then I don't know many people that would risk all the rest of the kit on a PSU that poo!

Factor in a decent case, and a LEGITIMATE copy of Vista Premium, together with a years warrenty, then it's still a good deal

Ok. It comes to £735. But nothing is restricted (like overclocking, as you said).

- Took me three minutes.

Hang on a minute, you just implied Dell were poor for using a 500w PSU and you are using a 460W one lol

and no OS and not the correct RAM.....tut tut
and no card reader
and no keyboard
and no mouse

come along .....this is the pespi challenge, take it seriously at least

Original Poster

they actually use a 360w psu... the computer runs at 320w tho... very close to limits

In fairness, i found the memory he stated and it IS the right stuff.

However, Thats Ebay

The memory is in America and although the seller has a 100% rating, should it fail you'd have to ship it back there and wait while he tested it and sent some more out.

For virtually the same money, you can instead have a fully built and warrented system

Lol. You think its about the wattage? Rofl. Its about the rated amps, n00b.

Card reader? Lol.. costs £7.

:whistling::whistling::whistling:

I meant, if you wanted to add another graphics card in crossfire.

Then it would be about the rated amps.

I mean, Dell Psu's are not very good at all if you want to upgrade.

If you did upgrade the PSU, you'd probably void the warranty.

Its about £45-£50. Look on ebay or any other auction site.

Gtg anyway, cya.
