Dell U2515H Monitor 1440P IPS 60HZ.

I'm really tempted to buy this but I want to get a freesync monitor during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals (even if it means getting a TN).

This is actually a good budget gaming monitor. The response time and lag is decent for the spec. See here for a good review: tftcentral.co.uk/rev…htm

11.42 EUR shipping equates to £8.00 GBP.

Total cost should be £212.28 (if using a euro friendly debit/credit card) going by rates as of this post (around a tenner more if you use the Amazon Currency Converter, i.e £220.40). So, don't use the Amazon currency converter if you want a cheaper price with a good euro card.

Currently around £255 on Amazon.co.uk.

Some specs:

Item Weight 4.4 Kg
Product Dimensions 20.5 x 56.9 x 51.3 cm
Color Black
Screen Size 25 inches
Screen Resolution 2560x1440
Wattage 36 watts

Thanks. Updated post.
A decent res screen for a change. Much better than the under 1080 pieces of junk that most seem to like to post.
im using this monitor, now, great for gaming and every thing else, the stand is also great.
and it looks good with no bezels top and sides.
I have this monitor: it's great! Lowest I've seen it at was £240 so £212 is a good price. Highly recommend!
I've got one of these sitting next to a slightly older IPS 1080p monitor. It's so sharp, the colours are so crisp and smooth... Just pressed Buy on a second. Thanks Squirtle.
Pre-calibrated as well. I have one on my desk. Stunning bit of kit.
I looked at this earlier this week and was tempted, but I'm hanging out for a 27" 1440 (best size for res) at 144hz on Black Friday.
Hope I'm not going to kick myself!!

I'm looking for a 27" in either 1440 or 4K, though probably not 144Hz. Cuurently have 144Hz at 1080 24" but don't really use it to its advantage

Does anyone know if the 3 year warranty with Dell will still be valid in the UK?

Great find but still gonna wait for Black Friday deal. I'm sure you can grab some good monitor for great price :-)

An outstanding monitor. I absolutely love mine. 1440p seems to be the perfect resolution for 25" too - text is just the right size and I can comfortably fit two windows side-by-side. No need for expensive widescreen gimmicks.
Soooo tempted at this price. Dell have always been high quality in my experience. Just wish they had a 1440p 144hz IPS monitor with G-SYNC or FREESYNC out. The equivalent Acer & Asus monitors are still a panel lottery, but I may take a punt if there is a good deal on Black Friday
this isn't much cheaper?
Very good monitor only got horrible eystrain from watching it more than 30 min,

I've now upgraded to the U2715H and it's amazing playing Starwars Battlefront and amazing color reproduction and response time is also very good for both monitors, never have i also experienced input lag. best monitors for the money.

bit more expensive though

Hi all

I use 3x1200 res TFT Samsung 24" monitors and wanted to know would the text be smaller on this monitor than the ones I use ? I know the monitor is 1" bigger but abit worried that the text will be way to small so would it be best to go 27" at the same res and would that be more on par with text size.

also is this the best monitor for the smallest bezel size for multi monitor setup or is there better ones ?

anyway heres a good review of this monitor

even though its only 1" it also probably has a higher resolution than your current monitor which means that text will be even smaller

you can see the 1440p which is the resolution of this monitor and the 1080p is the resolution of your current monitor, you will have to decide for yourself as it's a personal preference, but you will have more screen estate on the Dell.

so a 27" would be more on par with my 24" monitors with the text size ? with the extra space and the 25" would make the text to small

Go here: sven.de/dpi/

Input your monitor's resolution (I'm guessing 1920x1200) at 24", and find out what DPI it is. The higher the DPI, the smaller the text will be.
Great price. I'm hoping these get down a bit during black friday ... I can only hope.

I wouldn't worry too much about text size unless you go for a 4k display.

you could use any monitor and adjust the System-Wide Scaling provided by Windows. which will give you an option of sizing up by a certain ratio, including icons, menus, and everything else displayed on screen.

you could get the same monitor in 27" the Dell U2715H which goes for £150+ more than the 25" on Amazon atm.

I would say go for the 25" at this price imo.

hey guys. what is the returns policy like for Amazon.de from the UK? also with this Dell does a zero dead pixel policy. is this the same with buying a monitor from Amazon. was looking to get a 24" 1080p, but for this price I would get one of these.
Great price! I got one a few months ago and have been very happy with it. Had a 27" 1440p before and I think the 25" is actually the better size for that res.
thanks all

why is that ?
I can say from personal use...this monitor is pretty damn good.
Had my eye on the U2414H, looks stunning...hoping for a deal

I think you'll prefer the 25 at this res. A lot of people end up going for the 25 over the 27 as it seems to look better. I did exactly this after looking at both.

Of course, you may have already looked at both yourself
This is by no means a budget monitor. Good price, tho refresh rate could be higher.
So can anyone who has seen both 25" and 27" confirm that they are exactly the same just different sizes (and pixel density)? I'm seeing conflicting reviews all over the Internet, but I really want 27" to go with the higher res. I will wait for Black Friday or Cyber Monday obviously

Go for 25", it's a great size for the resolution and a lot cheaper. I don't need any scaling and everything is a great size.
Storming price for a very good monitor.
I have Dell's P2416D, which is 24" 1440p and 245 euros. At this price, I'd go for the 25" I think.
The P2416D is a different panel, but a joy to use.
Calibrated mine with a Spyder 4 Pro and it didn't change the colours much at all, so yes, picture quality out of the box will be very good.

Two monitors is generally terrible for gaming, I've tried it. Action games tend to focus on the centre of the display area, right where you've now got a monitor bezel. It's far too distracting. Either get a high res single display (and this is pretty good as a gaming monitor!) or three 1080p monitors.

Also, you need a pretty beefy setup to drive twin 1440p unless frame rate doesn't really matter.

Currently I've 3 monitors (1080p) that I game on GTA V wide-span but looking to downgrade to 2 monitors at a better resolution (1440p went of 4k) but this time I'll only game on the one display and the second will be used for Twitch live-stram comments displayed ect as 3 displays is behind me.
Great find! Going to wait til after cyber Monday then buy if the price doesn't drop by then.

It is worth noting that most banks will charge you a one off fee and also a percentage on the exchange at time of processing. In my instance (TSB) that works out at:

302 EUR + 2.99% Exchange Fee + £1 transaction fee = £220

The exchange is based on on the visa payment scheme exchange rate, if you google that and look up your bank terms you can find out how much this will actually cost you.
hey guys. Mine was supposed to be delivered today, but nothing so far. Spoke to Amazon.de, who have said that the only info on the tracking was that it was picked up last monday. they said that nothing can happen until 4 days have passed and that they can then send a new one.. Anyone had theirs delivered yet??
