It's in preparation for a merger, but they can't decide whether to call it Deltel or Intdell.
I went for a deal like this last year, but Dell never paid the £70+ TCB. I raised a case with TCB, but they said it went through at their end and it was Dell who didn't pay. Nothing wrong with the PC, but sometimes it's the extra promise of cashback that makes you pull the trigger, so better treat it as a possible rather than a definite.

I've been burned like that by a company before too.... It's the same with all cashback - take it as a bonus rather than a deal-breaker!!
Can anyone suggest a laptop for autocad? I need a new one for work
Is this a good buy for £483 (after 12% discount). 8th Generation Intel® Core™ i5-8265U Processor (6MB Cache, up to 3.9 GHz), 8GB, 256GB SSD

Not great. Terrible screen and built in Intel Graphics. I paid £100 more and got a much better Medion. Depends on what you want to use it for however!

Thanks for your inputs. I am not going to use it for gaming. This will be more for coding purposes + MS office apps + regular browsing

Then it will be more than enough. I’d recommend keeping an eye out on here for other laptop deals because there would be laptops that could do that at almost half the price. I don’t recommend buying Dell unless you get an absolute steal on their outlet store

Valid point. Will watch out for better deals. Thanks again!
Help I need a laptop for office work that preferably lasts me a good 4 years
I have that G5 (with a couple of different components but basically the same) and I heartily recommend it and thats a decent price for it - heat added.
This is an option: ebuyer.com/841…50t

Almost identical but £50 cheaper and the screen in the ASUS is 120Hz while the Dell is only 60Hz but no USB-C.

I was burned buying one of these. Very plasticy cheap build compared with a previous Dell I have had. I thought it was very poor.

The i5-8265u is a cracking CPU, faster than a lot of recent i7's and it's a quad core.

2019 model already released for the XPS 13. Next 2-in-1 model will probs be around June (Computex).

Thanks. Agree the CPU is good. But, I understand from the previous comments above, this laptop's build quality is not that great.
My son's XPS 13 died after 2.5 years, sadly, and the motherboards (known issue...) are £500!

Have gone for and XPS 15 from the outlet as there were 11 of them; i5 models which they no longer sell on the main site, so I am assuming that these are all new and being cleared. Managed to get 15% off with university code (there is a Unidays 14% code for the main site) so pretty good deal. Hopefully this will last longer.

Sadly, I also bought a desktop for work and that had the engineer out to replace the motherboard after 3 days. Told him the problem was with the CPU, so now the machine has been shipped to Germany for repair.
