Was looking for an IPS QHD monitor for around £250 that I could use in portrait. Thought this was a really good deal as a 27 inch monitor would be too large to use in portrait and this comes with pivot in the stand. Also comes with a usb 3 hub built in.

Anyone know if it can be overclocked at all?

Given the number of ports it has, I doubt it.i have the single div qnix which can overclock to 120hz, the multiport version could only reach 60hz

Never knew about this so heat just for bringing this to my attention. Those slim bezels do look nice so this is tempting.. My Crossover 27Q is starting to look old...

Waiting it out for a 27" curved 2560*1440 monitor though. Quite a few 34" ultrawide 3440*1440 monitors coming out at around the £700-800 price mark but that's too big and expensive. Samsung are currently doing a 27" monitor but only full HD res unfortunately.

Would a 970gtx windforce be capable of running two of these

I have two u2414 monitors and they are excellent. I like the thin bezel

I think this is a new model, never seen it before, it's heat though it isnt 27 inch like many QHD monitors, I have the U2414h and the build quality is great, this one should be no different.

Oh, glad to know that Dell made a decent 4K! That 28" was like 30hz on TN panel

Wish it was 27"

Is this the only 1440p monitor below 27". Very tempting, perfect size for my needs.

Finally a decent monitor around here. Shame its so ugly.

There's also a new 27" model, u2715h, not 4k but priced around its territory (£450).

Must resist the urge to buy.

This is pretty much the limit in dot pitch for Windows users. The majority of apps simply don't scale well, making the 24" 4k model only suitable for figher pilots. Fine if you own a mac tho.

4K on a sub 24" model will be very awkward and unusable without scaling. Text will be tiny!

Very tempting but will resist. It's good to see QHD coming at decent prices. 2 of that 25" must be a real bliss.

Warmed!

Dell's flagship XPS 15" laptop is 4K - now that's small text.

Looks nice, might swap my old Catleap 27" for this

£254.38 from Amazon, wish it was 27 inch though!

I hope they've sorted out all the problems that came with the u2414h with dispayport and daisy chaining.

Dodgy. It does say 60Hz, but I bet it does not support HDMI 2.0, and Displayport 1.2 only supports 60Hz via an ugly clutch. I would rather spend a bit more on a screen with HDMI 2.0 and Display 1.3 - at least then you know it will work properly.

What you talking about? I've been using a 4k screen via displayport 1.2 at 60hz for months. How does that not work properly?

2-5 weeks delivery. I'd still rather buy from amazon. No idea what box customer service is like.

Are there any graphics cards that support hdmi 2.0

bought from amazon will be delivered on 4th Feb so not too long of await.

I've seen these around and they win the prize for one of the best looking monitors out there imo. I can't seem to find any 144hz monitors that look as nice without paying alot more.

Does any one know if it will be any good for gaming? Would be using it for other stuff too, like my uni work, photo editing and maybe some web design work.

I personally would not buy this for gaming. It is a good option for gaming, but there is better options out there if you drop the need for IPS. I would want 1-5 MS, and this is 8MS(although after looking at specs it claims to have 6MS in "fast mode"). Also, this is only 60 Hz so if you have a good graphics card and can run games at more then 60 FPS then you want a 144 Hz monitor.

But generally this seems to fit all your needs. It's not the best at gaming, but makes up for that in other ways.

I game on a 13ms IPS monitor and find it fine at 75hz.

No there's an Asus also, Asus VX24AH.

Looking for a monitor to pair with my Surface Pro 3 (which has a resolution of 2160x1440) for when it's docked at home.

Would I be best getting this or a Dell U2415 (1920x1200) which is about the same price?

Would be mainly used for productivity tasks, streaming football through sky go and the occasional movie watching and game playing.

It depends on what games you tend to play I think.

I tend to play FPS, so 144Hz is better for me but the colour probably won't be as nice. If you plan on playing FPS and have a AMD card, hold out a month or so and get a Freesync capable monitor. If not, get an ASUS 144Hz G-Sync monitor.

Otherwise, this monitor will be great for strategy games and most other games.
