A very nice monitor - I own one and wanted a second. Best price I can find, beating amazon market sellers in Germany. AQA Labs offer a better price, but their reputation put me off.

Not a massive bargain, but the best price I can find and over £100 off the Dell list price

Got one of these second hand for £170 a while back and it's an excellent monitor, can't recommend it enough. That said this has been pretty much the standard price for months now (despite Dell's ambitious RRP).
Paid £245 for mine in July so it's not come down much. Highly recommend this monitor though.
£227.99 at Scan on today only page. Plus delivery if you are one of those without free delivery. So basically the same price or cheaper for a great UK retailer!

just got one for £220 delivered, open box but its 100% mint awesome screen
I presume this would be no good for gamers due to the 8ms refresh rate??
Can anyone confirm this?

Thunderbolt display is 27". Apparently an extra 2 inches makes a big difference.
I have one and love it, best monitor I've used. Resolution suits the size spot on without needing to mess with dpi settings
These are lovely, I've got 4!

I'd imagine the ghosting that tends to be an issue on 60hz IPS monitors would be more concerning. Might want to Google to find out about whether that's an issue on this one.

I'd say most people wouldn't notice the difference between 2ms and 8ms...

gaming for me is just as good as my last 5ms tn monitor, no ghosting good response, and its 6ms as well as 8ms you can change it in cp
paid £245 for mine as well, i pondered for ages wether to get this or a 1080p 27" glad i bought the U2515H,
awesome monitor, lovely stand, watched a few 2k streams on it and the step up from 1080p was pretty imense! cant wait to try a bit of 2k gaming,,
I paid £207 from CCL through eBay 20 percent off discount

Excellent monitor when configured correctly for general use and watching videos. Just a shame all my content is 1080p
Great monitor, but the price is average.
the apple is cold or this one ?:) ... for me the apple thunderbolt is ...
This is nothing new. This monitor has been floating between £230 and £250 for months now.

And not that it matters, but I bought 3 of these the other day from Scan's eBay page for £200 each (£205 incl. delivery) using the 20% off code

why so few
I know it's a little off-topic but does anyone know if the 27" (U2715H) version is as good or better?
Am I right in thinking these IPS ghosting problems are more of an issue with high-precision PC gaming, and that console gaming @720-1080p (where 60hz refresh is uber luxury) would be as good or better than the average TV?

The 27" version is exactly the same bar 2 inches. Given the resolution some prefer 27 to 25 because of how the text is displayed at higher resolutions. Others however prefer 25 to 27 because you get a sharper picture due to increased ppi with the smaller screen.

My 13.3" MacBook Pro is 2560x1600, so I guess this is going to be

I managed to get one from a seller on eBay for £205 unopened box. Absolute beast of a screen. I also have an Asus VE247H "gaming monitor" which I though wasn't too bad apart from some ghosting but this thing rips it to shreds. No ghosting I've seen of and the colours are soooo much better. The blacks too are really dark compared to my other monitor. Don't bother thinking should you get it. Just get it. Make sure you have DisplayPort on your graphics card tho as I don't think HDMI officially goes to 2k.

Thanks for that - the sublinks have moved, but I'll track it down and join (or find my old membership - I'm sure I have one somewhere!)

I've linked this monitor to my laptop which has Intel HD 4000 internal gfx - with a little tinkering the monitor does work at 2560 x 1440 at 55hz instead of 60hz (can't see the difference though I don't game, not that I can with that gfx card haha)
has anyone mounted this monitor on an arm or stand?
