Thanks people - just bagged one!:-D

There's been a lot of problems with colour banding reported with these monitors on the Dell Forums, so just something to consider before buying

Thought theres been a firmware upgrade to fix that.

Yes, I think you're right, although it's a pretty recent fix.

This has 35% off is this about the maximum or do they ever offer more than that off?

I may drop them an email to check if the monitors have been flashed with the new firmware if nobody has.

35% is probably the highest discount I've seen on this type of product in a long time.

I did bag a 24" Dell Widescreen on a Buy 1 Get 1 Free deal in Apr 2005, and I've not seen anything similar to that.

If I had n't purchased two of the Acer 19" Widescreens I would have gone for this, it's an excellent price.

I'll let you know on Tuesday:) if there's banding probs but I think they are sorted by now. If not - am I bothered? I have a three year warranty.

Upset myself slightly then 'cos I thought I did have bad banding issues despite having a Czech built A02 revision model - then remembered I'd set the graphics card to 16-bit for some reason.

Set it to 32 bit and all is hunky dory. I can definitely recommend this monitor. Build quality is great - way better than the £420 (ouch!) Hitachi it's replacing.

Thats good to hear...tempted with one myself now !

Back up to £328.71 deal over I think

Thanks for the update zwarder Sorry you missed it...
