An Epson will be much cheaper to run. Dell ink prices are a joke.

Looks like a great deal for a wireless printer.Agree Dell cartridges are expensive but remanufactured ones may be available.

same price as lexmark printer carts epsom printers are the best for cheap carts sorry cold

Tempted with this. Anyone know what colour cartridges come with this, and how long they can be expected to last? I seem to recall that some printers ship with "demo" cartridges that do not last as long...

Some prices for cartridges:
internet-ink.co.uk/del…es/
cartridgesave.co.uk/ink…tml
search.dell.co.uk/1/4…dge
printerbase.co.uk/aca…php
cartridgepeople.com/Cat…tml
valueshop.co.uk/ink…asp
cfbsupplies.co.uk/del…34/

A quick look seems to be about:
Black = £25
Colour = £30

EDIT - not sure how valid they are, but some real horror stories from amazon.com - amazon.com/Del…ing

I got a wired all in one Dell printer on some bargain deal for about £11 a couple of years ago. Print quality was good but wow - £36 for the cartridges (one B/W, one colour). We now have an HP wireless, which is expensive to buy original ink for, but at least you can get copy inks for it. Think it will be Epson next time for me.

Epson all the way. Not voting on this -the printer is a good price but whats the point when a ink refill will cost the same as buying another printer!

Hmm *crafty idea* how about buying two of these, and one runs out of ink, bin it and use the other one... *joke*

This is just a re-badged Lexmark S305 isn't it (with white plastic instead of grey)?

Almost voted this cold but just cause I think Dell & Lexmark suck that's not really in the spirit of the site, it's probably a good price if you want one but as mentioned before the price of ink sucks.

Just to clarify, will this printer come with a preinstalled cartridges of ink with it or not?

Just to clarify before I end up buying it

I understand all Dell printers are sourced from Lexmark.

Does this mean you can use a Lexmark s305 cartridge in this Dell?

I nearly bought this but a quick check on cartridge prices put me off. No go for me

Did you find out if this comes with any cartridge to begin with?

It comes with "single use" black and colour cartridges which are probably low capacity.

Do Epson have wifi all in one printer under £50 do you think?

Traditionally the Lexmark and Dell cartridges are ALMOST exactly the same ... there's usually an extra slot or piece of plastic on the lexmark cart that stops it from quite fitting ... usually on the cap. Have heard of people replacing the new lexmark cap with an old dell one and then them working perfectly, but that was a couple of years ago ...

Which one would you go for, the SX425 or the SX515?

I'm never having a Dell printer again.
Dell ink carts are expensive and generic ones don't work for me.
