Rather than list the specs I'll just list the few things that I think give this the edge over a number of other alternatives.

1920*1080 Screen is greater than Asus T100 which is 1366*768.
Full size USB port on tablet.
User swappable battery so no manufacturer built in obsolescence.
Charges via microUSB
Has a couple decent keyboard options and a stylus option.

I've just ordered one with the 3G option for something like £241 and there's still one available for £248 ish.

Processor: Intel® Atom™ Processor Z3770 (2MB Cache, 2.4GHz, Quad-Core)
Operating System: Windows 8.1 (32Bit) English
Video Card: Intel HD Graphics
Memory: 2GB LPDDR3 Memory
Hard Drive: 64GB eMMC flash drive
Display: 10.8 inch (27.4cm) FHD (1920 x 1080) touch panel

To be clear, this is Windows 8.1 not the ARM edition Windows RT.

I'll also add that this price includes 1 year collect and return warranty for peace of mind. Not as good as on-site but still...

outlet Venue 11's only have a trial version of office 2013.
- Jelly Bean

dell now charging £22 delivery but the following code valid for i dont know how long gets you 5% off

R9P8?BTM35V2FZ

the cheapest DVP 11 is now £227.76 with the atom processor, quite a few higher spec higher prices ones avilible right now

Absolute bargain when you consider people will pay the same for an inferior Surface RT

I can't seem to fix the link. Anyone able to help please?

Insane value, couldn't resist!

This looks good, but I can't determine if it comes with Office?

New it would have done, refurb I'm not sure. TBH I use Libre Office so it doesn't bother me. If I absolutely had to use MS Office I'd just pirate it.

can you put Android on it?

Yes, using Bluestacks it is possible to put Android on this.

Just been on chat with one of their sales staff and its just a trial version of office

Absolutely wonderful deal.

If I wanted something like this, this would be the one I get.

But I don't need it...

Must resist ..........!!!!!!

Good spec for the price however the Venue 11 Pro does not provide a comfortable tablet experience, it is quite top heavy and awkward to hold for long periods of time. Dell do offer a mobile keyboard dock however you need to budget another 100 pound for this.

I had one previously, in the end upgraded to an XPS 13

What keyboard options are available? (I have an Asus T100 - I would be interested in upgrading to one of these *if* it has a similar keyboard dock...i.e., one that turns it into a full laptop)

delivery charge is 22.

Dell offer a 'mobile keyboard' solution which is a dock (which turns the tablet into a netbook), it also comes with an inbuilt battery which extends the life of the tablet to 15 hours (or so Dell claim)

the cheapest one is £199.60 excluding vat and delivery so nowhere near £224.74

XPS 13 isn't even a tablet, why didn't you go for the keyboard dock option? Or even the lenovo yoga?

I think that was for the 8.1 price, 8.1 Pro is the £199 exc

1.5kg's with the proper keyboard makes this a bit of a chunky monkey....
The Asus T100 is 1.07kg
Also, the keyboard dock will be a minimum of £80 or so extra.

It's certainly a nice bit of kit - but not quite nice enough to turn me away from my T100

Remember you can use stylus on V11P. That's a must for a windows tablet.

But the most important part for me is the built in 3G

They have some i3 and i5 ones with 128gb ssd and 4gb ram from £309 delivered too. Untick Venue 11 Pro, and tick Dell Venue 11 Pro.

Haven't read all the comments so apologies if this feedback is already in there - but the mobile Dell keyboard for the Venue 11 pro is usually available via Amazon at around £85 which is half the full Dell price. A must have to give a truly mobile laptop.
I've had a Venue 11 pro and keyboard for 3 months now and its the best piece of kit I've ever purchased - portable, lasts all day, full windows 8.1 (I know not everyone like it! - but I do) means none of those Apple limitations - hardly use or need my main laptop now.

are there costs incurred though? I had used this must be more than 6 months ago

I was mucking about with VM & genymotion

I just got the keyboard with battery from ebay for £70. Offered £65 and £70 was the counter.

Brought one (actually three of them ) when they had the trade in, great devices, esp when you buy one of the docks on ebay

So does this come with an HDMI out connector?

And why does it have only 2GB of RAM? My current 5 year old laptop has 3GB, and that is distinctly less than ideal. My 4 year old work laptop has 8GB, which is about ok.

I may just wait for the Surface Pro 3. Yes, it is a different price range, but I think it is worth it in terms of usefulness and reasonable lifetime. This one looks like it is already on the verge of being too slow.

No charges when I used it a few weeks back. I've still got it installed and just started it, seems to be as it was.

MiniHDMI and despite what people say Windows 8.1 isn't too heavy on RAM.

Yes, but my apps are. Chrome really wants 1.5GB just for itself, and numerical simulation software also tends to eat up the RAM...

Thanks for posting the deal.

It was a one off so nothing to post!!!

Core i5 version for £330. Pretty good deal! /bought.
Screen is supposed to get 99% SRGB as well!

I wouldn't use Chrome if it requires that much RAM... My Firefox with a few add-ins like NoScript, Ghostery, Https Everywhere and Adblock and I've more tabs than I need open right now shows 500MB used.

Bought the surface pro with keyboard for 359 with quido....now this.... sitting on fence...typing isn't great with touch cover..this may be better

I found that confirmation takes a little while to come through via e-mail. I was able to find the order confirmed page with IRN (internet receipt number) link in my history and that reassured me till the e-mail came through.
