I think this should be the cheapest C2D 2.0 Ghz laptop ever.

configure.euro.dell.com/del…bsd Hope the link works :-S way better deal if you have £95 more to spend with Quidco off and no delay

surely. I am using a bit lower spec on cpu side with adobe master collection cs3 n 3d s/w so i am sure it will work great with this little bit which has surely higher spec cpu

I ave this laptop and it is very fast and is not heavy and is quite portable too. The build quality is also very good.

The cheapest C2D 2.00Ghz is this i think:- configure.euro.dell.com/del…bsd

C2D 2.00Ghz, 2GB, 120GB, 6 Cell, £386 delivered

How much extra time will a 9 cell battery give over a 6 cell?

Apologies if this is blindingly obvious on the Dell website, but how does the overall physical size of this compare with the 1500 or other laptops? I really want something that is reasonably portable and with a decent spec - without spending a small fortune!

Go here and click product details or select 1500 and do the same for specs

Cheers, MikeT, it was quite obvious really, I'm just having one of those weeks!

THE 1500 is one of the thickest and heaviest laptops today in the 15.4 inch range. The 1400 is thinner and lighter and doesnt look very thick like the 1500.

I would dfeintely go with the 1400 if u want it to be portable as the 1500 is just to heavy and thck for that purpose for most ppl. Its more like a desktop replacement.
