very hot!

actually, tried this, doesn't work. adding 160gb hd brings price to £370

Correct - then take it all the way through to the checkout for the full discount.

Original Poster

Just checked it. Either adding Media Remote/Bluetooth or the 160GB Hard Drive brings it down to £310.20.

Also, don't forget Quidco!

Probably the best laptop deal available at the moment.

If I was buying one, out of preference I would spend a bit extra getting a higher resolution screen, and getting the 8400 basic graphics card which will help the laptop in games and rendering certain things - which would make the laptop around £400 but still very cheap!

But HOT HOT HOT

The extras to bring your total to over £360 so as to qualify for free shipping.

15.4" Wide Screen WXGA (1280 x 800) Display with TrueLife™ [add £17.63]
Matte Jet Black with 2.0 mega pixel camera [add £23.50]
160GB (5400RPM) SATA Hard Drive [add £23.50]
Dell™ Travel Remote Control [add £5.88]
Dell™ Wireless 355 Bluetooth 2.0 Module (up to 3Mbps) with Enhanced Data Rate [add £17.63]
Intel® Next-Gen Wireless-N Mini-Card - Europe [add £35.25]

Also worth ordering with 1440x900 True Life (got Inspiron with that - outstanding - of course some don't like it), comes at 327 before Quidco.

HOT HOT HOT, thanks, heat & rep added

Would you advise Order two of these now £310.00, and cancel existing two in the morning £327.00 or wait cancel and then re order ?

Works great, need some advise guys, I currently have a hp pavilion 6231eu, with a AMD Turion x2 TL50 processor &1gb Ram, if I bought this (which is a bargain) how much do you think I could get for my hp laptop, it was bought in march 07 and has a reciept, bought for £500, and do you think that an upgrade to this dell laptop is worth it.

The specs of my dv6231eu:

HP Pavilion Media Center dv6231eu Entertainment - Turion 64 X2 TL-50 - RAM 1 GB - HDD 80 GB - DVD±RW (+R double layer) / DVD-RAM - GF Go 6150 - WLAN : 802.11b/g - Vista Home Premium - 15.4" Widescreen TFT 1280 x 800

hijacked from the other thread on here at the moment, it's even the same ecode :whistling:

For those who want/need XP Pro (which I do for compatibility with other business software I use), then to add it to this deal makes the price £368.95. If you go for the deal code N0115005, changing to XP Pro costs no extra, there is an extra 1gb ram and extra 40gb on the hard drive, and a minor point Mcafee is NOT installed ( I use AVG free edition) with a total cost of £386.58 - an extra £17.63. Seems a good deal to me IF you want XP Pro. I have googled how XP Pro 32bit works with 3gb ram and it seems ok but, any comments appreciated so I can see if it is really worth the little bit extra. Thanks.

really hot deal, especially with the included bluetooth.

It is - and I've posted in the other thread that I have reposted it.

There is probably a different ecode with the different options switched on/off etc, but I thought this needed posting as the original £327 deal as expired as this deal is a bit different to the other one as you need to play about with the options.

i think i'm going blind but i cant seem to find the travel remote.

Is it worth getting Truelife upgrade?

The battery does stick out

Truelife is a matter of opinion - it's like Marmite

stick out about 1 inch. Hope this helps. truelife is a very shiny screen. Makes it hard to see under bright lights or sunshine

only upgrading the graphics card brings the package to £357. Not bad alternative to the bluetooh+remote option!

i went bluetooth, remote, bigger HDD (160gb) and Webcam... £357.20

Review and Pics

notebookreview.com/def…918

I added the 1440x900 screen, 2.0MP Camera, 160 GB HDD, Travel Remote, Bluetooth and Wireless N and it comes out to £433 delivered, am I doing something wrong???
P.S. I did drop the support to 1 year as well.

Original Poster

Alloshine: It will come to that amount when you add them all in! lol.

Then, continue to the checkout and it will reduce in price (but it wont be 310.20 with all those extras).

another upgrade which i think i will go with is to upgrade the screen to 1440-true life + black cover with 2.0 webcam and this will bring the total to £351.33

Banned

Doesn't come up with that price
